Texans coach Bill O'Brien said there’s "no limitations" on playcalling wtih Deshaun Watson.

"Relative to what his skill set is and what he knows, I don’t think there’s any limitations." Watson wasn’t asked to do much in his first start, but made in impact in the run game — setting a franchise record with 67 yards on five carries. The Texans should have a conservative approach against the Patriots again this week, though Watson’s rushing gives him a nice floor. Watson’s Week 3 matchup could get an upgrade if CB Stephon Gilmore (questionable, groin) is held out.

Terrance Williams (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Cardinals.

Williams opened the week with two missed practices, but is trending up after getting in a limited session Saturday. He's clearly less than 100 perecnt and looks like a game-time decision. The Cowboys also listed Brice Butler (ankle) as questionable.

Jermaine Gresham (ribs) is questionable for Monday night's Week 3 game against Dallas.

Gresham was held out last week, but the Cardinals expect him to return after practicing on a limited basis. With John Brown sidelined and J.J. Nelson dealing with a hamstring issue, he could have an expanded pass-game role. Gresham has a streamable matchup against an injured Dallas secondary.

J.J. Nelson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 3 against Dallas.

Nelson got in three straight limited practices despite an early week hamstring injury. He's on track to play, but can't be trusted with a Monday night matchup. Nelson owners need to have backup plans in place.

John Brown (quad) has been ruled out for Week 3.

This was expected after Brown didn't practice all week. The Cardinals will continue to go with Larry Fitzgerald, J.J. Nelson (questionable, hamstring), and Jaron Brown in three-receiver sets.

Lions signed coach Jim Caldwell to a multi-year extension.

Caldwell entered this season as a lame-duck coach, but the Lions had a deal in place for months. There was speculation over his job security under GM Bob Quinn, who was given Caldwell from the Martin Mayhew regime. Caldwell has a 29-21 record and a pair of Wild Card berths in his three-plus seasons in Detroit, though the Lions have been a middling offense under him. Caldwell's extension leaves Marvin Lewis as the only coach remaining on an expiring deal.

ESPN's Jordan Raanan expects Odell Beckham to have a bigger target share against the Eagles this week.

Beckham played only 61 percent of snaps in his debut last week, but should be more involved after being removed from the injury report. He has a double-plus matchup against a secondary that's without Ronald Darby, Jaylen Watkins, Corey Graham and potentially starting FS Rodney McLeod. The Giants (0-2) need to feature Beckham in a must-win division game. Beckham has the makings for a Week 3 rebound.

Saints released DE Kendall Langford.

Langford lasted just two days after signing this week. Knee issues ended Langford's time in Indy and have his career in doubt. The Saints also released veteran DE Darryl Tapp and promoted corners Justin Hardee and Arthur Maulet from the practice squad.
