Angels sent RHP Barry Enright outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Enright was designated for assignment last week but has cleared waivers and will stick around for depth purposes.
May 19 - 1:31 PM

Roy Oswalt struck out nine while allowing only a bunt single over five innings in an extended spring training start on Saturday.

With the impressive performance, Oswalt will now be moved up to Double-A Tulsa for his next outing. He's expected to make 4-5 starts for Tulsa before the Rockies decide whether or not to call him up. It would be a surprise if he's not in their rotation next month.
May 19 - 1:30 PM

Adam Dunn (back) is back in the White Sox' lineup Sunday.

Dunn left Saturday's game with back spasms, but he's feeling a lot better a day later. The veteran is batting .421/.450/1.158 with four homers and 10 RBI over his last five games.
May 19 - 1:11 PM

Joe Mahoney (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Jupiter this week.

Mahoney has been out since late April with a right hamstring strain. With Logan Morrison (knee) and Casey Kotchman (hamstring) also due back soon, Mahoney might be sent to Triple-A once healthy.
May 19 - 1:06 PM

Logan Morrison (knee) is slated to begin a rehab assignment with High-A Jupiter on Monday.

Morrison has been playing in extended spring training games lately and hasn't had any setbacks with his surgically-repaired knee. With his 20-day rehab clock started on Monday, he'll be activated no later than early June as long as he doesn't have a setback.
May 19 - 1:03 PM

David Ross (concussion) has reported improvement and could begin working out soon.

Ross will be examined on Monday in hopes of being cleared to resume workouts. The catcher has missed the last week of action with concussion-related symptoms.
May 19 - 12:54 PM

Buster Posey is not in the Giants' lineup Sunday.

As he often does, Posey is getting a breather with Barry Zito on the mound. Guillermo Quiroz is getting the start behind the plate. Marco Scutaro is also receiving a day off, as Nick Noonan is at second base.

Angels optioned INF Luis Jimenez to Triple-A Salt Lake.

He's being sent down to make room for the arrival of Chris Nelson. Jimenez got off to a hot start this season but cooled off considerably since.
