Kyle Schwarber smashed a solo home run Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Schwarber's blast off of Erik Goeddel with one out in the seventh inning knotted the game up at 1-1 before the Cubs eventually won in extra innings. The outfielder has had a rough June so far but has now gone deep twice over his last four contests.

Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 and homered in a second straight game Tuesday against the Twins.

Devers hasn't turned into a star at age 21, but he figures to keep improving after a rough start. He's hit in 12 of his last 13 starts, going 17-for-52 with three homers and, surprisingly, three steals.

A.J. Ramos will undergo season-ending surgery Wednesday for a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

Logan Forsythe singled and notched a pair of doubles Tuesday against the Cubs.

Forsythe's two two-baggers were the only extra-base hits the Dodgers had, as they managed just one run over 10 innings to drop the second game of a doubleheader. It's the first three-hit game of the season for Forsythe, who has been a massive disappointment since the Dodgers traded for him.

Cole Hamels held the Royals to an unearned run over seven innings to win Tuesday.

The lefty prevailed in the Hamels-Hammel matchup, as Jason gave up four runs in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss. It was just the fourth win of the year for Hamels, even though he's allowed two earned runs or fewer on 10 occasions now. He'll get the Twins next.

Keone Kela pitched a perfect ninth for his 17th save Tuesday against the Royals.

Kela has taken three losses and his 3.76 ERA is nothing special, but he remains perfect in his save chances. In spite of his youth and success, he could be a trade candidate this summer. He does have a fair injury history, after all.
Jun 19 - 11:21 PM

Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a walk against the Royals on Tuesday.

Kiner-Falefa only started because Rougned Odor was scratched, apparently for disciplinary reasons. He had one of the best games of his young career, even if he did commit his seventh error and get caught stealing. He'd still seem to have very limited AL-only value now that Elvis Andrus is back, though that assumes Odor's absence is short-lived.
Jun 19 - 11:19 PM

Rosell Herrera went 2-for-3 and drove in the Royals' only run in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers.

He also stole a base. Herrera offers limited promise, but he's started all three games since he was called up alongside Adalberto Mondesi on Sunday (compared to one game for Mondesi). He might continue to play a substantial role, which would give him value in AL-only leagues. However, he does have the upcoming return of the suspended Jorge Bonifacio to deal with.
