Wendell Smallwood (knee) is expected to be limited in Thursday's practice.

Smallwood also got in some practice reps on Tuesday. He appears on track to return Monday night after sitting out two games, but it is not a given. For what it is worth, Smallwood expects to play.

Eagles CB Ronald Darby (ankle) will practice this week.

Coach Doug Pederson would not commit to him playing on Monday night, but he is at least nearing a return from the dislocated ankle he suffered in Week 1. Getting Darby back would be a big boost a defense which has given up the 10th-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks so far this season.

Andre Ellington (quad) did not practice Thursday.

It is a concern after he was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday. He now looks legitimately questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. His participation on Friday should tell the story.

Hunter Henry has out-snapped Antonio Gates 100-to-75 the last two games.

Henry also has had two of his best games of the season the last two weeks, turning 15 targets into eight catches for 132 yards and a touchdown. "I felt like I put a lot of work in all of our practices and games, and last year," Henry said. "I knew it was coming. I knew I had to show up and continue to put up the work." Finally seeing consistent targets, Henry will be a solid TE1 in a good matchup against the Broncos this week.

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said newly-signed ILB Navorro Bowman "probably" will play against the Chiefs on Thursday night.

Bowman just signed on Monday, but the Raiders will take any help they can get at linebacker. "He’s a veteran. He understands ball," Del Rio said. "Even though it’s a short week, we feel good he’ll play." A liability in coverage at this point in his career, Bowman may not be the impact signing his resume would suggest, but he is still an upgrade.

Panthers FS Kurt Coleman (knee) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.

Coleman has missed the last two games because of a sprained MCL, but this practice puts him on track to return against the Bears. "It’s just going to be a day-to-day evaluation," Coleman said. "But I’m excited with where things are headed." Colin Jones has been starting in his place.

Jerick McKinnon was listed on the Wednesday injury report with an ankle issue.

He was a full participant in practice, so it does not seem as if he is dealing with a serious injury. That said, it will be something to monitor the rest of the week. As long as he is healthy, McKinnon will be an upside RB2 against the Ravens.

The Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman reports Jameis Winston "did everything but throw" during Wednesday's practice.

He is expected to throw later in the week and appears on track to play considering the Bucs did not add a quarterback on Wednesday. "Draw your own conclusions," coach Dirk Koetter said after practice. Winston has said he plans to play.
