Antonio Senzatela gave up three earned runs over five innings Tuesday in his Cactus League start against the Rangers.

Senzatela was doing fine until the top of the fifth, when the Rangers plated three runs on two singles and two doubles. The 22-year-old right-hander has allowed nine runs -- seven earned -- in 10 1/3 innings since Rockies manager Bud Black named him a legitimate candidate for the Opening Day rotation. The final spot is probably going to go to Kyle Freeland.

A.J. Griffin allowed two earned runs over 5 1/3 innings Tuesday in his Cactus League start against the Rockies.

Both tallies came on a two-run shot in the fourth inning by Rockies first baseman Mark Reynolds. Griffin walked three and gave up six hits while striking out only two batters. He is expected to make the Rangers' season-opening starting rotation, but the 29-year-old right-hander can be ignored in most standard fantasy leagues.

Tanner Scheppers (abdomen) will return to game action Wednesday.

Scheppers exited an appearance Friday with a left abdominal strain, but it was a minor issue. He could still make the Opening Day roster if he doesn't have a setback.

Brian McCann hit his third homer of the spring off Edinson Volquez as the Astros beat the Marlins 7-3 on Tuesday.

McCann also walked in the game. With a .279 average and an .831 OPS, it's been his best spring since 2010, back when he was with the Braves. His fantasy upside is lower now that he's left Yankee Stadium, but maybe the change will be good for his game offensively; he never hit for any sort of average while always taking aim at that short porch in right field.

Dallas Keuchel surrendered three runs in 4 2/3 innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

Keuchel seemed happy afterwards. He gave up a homer to Giancarlo Stanton and six hits overall, but he also got seven outs on the ground to go along with his four strikeouts. He doesn't appear to be a likely Cy Young contender right now, but since he's healthy again, he should be a mixed-league asset.

MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan writes that Delino DeShields could be the Rangers' everyday left fielder and leadoff man.

DeShields has batted .302/.448/.321 with 12 steals this spring, which might have been enough to push Jurickson Profar back into a utility role and Carlos Gomez down in the order. "I tell guys, make me put you in the lineup," manager Jeff Banister said. "Let your game put you in the lineup. Delino has made us do that. How it plays on Opening Day or the day after that … just continue to play the game." DeShields entered 2016 as the Opening Day center fielder and leadoff man, but he lost those jobs quickly and ultimately hit .209/.275/.313. However, the 24-year-old had a good rookie season and could make a dent in fantasy leagues with his on-base skills and running ability.

Giancarlo Stanton homered off Dallas Keuchel and walked Tuesday against the Astros.

It doesn't quite seem like Stanton has found his swing yet, but he hasn't been all that bad, either. He is 6-for-26 with a couple of homers in Marlins camp. He was 5-for-22 with one homer for Team USA in the WBC. Fortunately, he hasn't complained of any physical issues, and there's nothing to suggest he'll need frequent off days during the regular season.

Craig Gentry had another nice game Tuesday, collecting a double, two walks and two steals in the Orioles' 5-4 win over the Braves.

Gentry is hitting .333 with a .992 OPS in 51 at-bats, which is going to have to be good enough to get him a spot on the Orioles' roster. If they surprise and choose not to carry him, he'll be of interest to several teams.
