Rob Gronkowski played on every offensive snap in Week 16, the first time he's done that this season.

It puts a bow on a remarkable rehab off Gronk's ACL and MCL reconstruction 12 months ago. Proving more beast than human, he's played in every single game this season and has posted an 82-1,124-12 line. Gronkowski is fantasy's No. 1 scoring tight end by a whopping margin over No. 2 Antonio Gates and No. 3 Jimmy Graham. His status for Week 17 could depend on the result of Monday Night Football. If the Bengals can upset the Broncos, the Patriots clinch the AFC's No. 1 seed.

Following Sunday's win over the Colts, DeMarco Murray admitted his broken hand was "hurting throughout the game."

Murray predictably didn't catch a pass for the first time this season, but gutted out a 22-58-1 line on the ground. He figures to be closer to 100 percent in Week 17 if the Cowboys choose to use him. They've clinched the NFC East already, yet can get a first-round bye if they beat the Redskins and both the Cardinals and Seahawks lose.

Andrew Hawkins injured his right thumb during Sunday's Week 16 loss at Carolina.

Hawkins finished with just one catch for 28 yards and played on 48.9 percent of the snaps. He's headed for a Monday MRI.

Browns first-round CB Justin Gilbert played behind fourth-round CB Pierre Desir in Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Panthers.

Even with Joe Haden (shoulder) inactive, Gilbert was limited to depth in nickel packages. Even UDFA Robert Nelson and Jordan Poyer played ahead of Gilbert, the No. 8 overall pick. Coach Mike Pettine blamed a poor week of practice.
Dec 22 - 9:19 AM

Coach Mike Pettine said a poor week of practice was the reason Terrance West played zero snaps in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.

West went from starting the previous two weeks to playing behind Shaun Draughn Sunday. The third-round rookie has been in and out of the doghouse all season, highlighted by a healthy scratch in Week 6 and a 26-94-1 performance in Week 10. Pettine is earning a reputation in fantasy circles as an unpredictable coach when it comes to usage.

According to ESPN's Vaughn McClure, Steven Jackson (quad) should be back for the Week 17 game against the Panthers.

Jackson strained his quad during the second quarter of Sunday's win at New Orleans and didn't return. That allowed Devonta Freeman to get some extra touches, turning one of the them into a 31-yard touchdown run and adding a 3-48-0 line as a receiver. The 31-year-old Jackson is averaging 3.72 YPC this season as the Falcons' feature back. If the Falcons beat the Panthers, they'll win the NFC South with a 7-9 record.

Redskins OLB Trent Murphy broke his hand in Saturday's Week 16 win over the Eagles.

Murphy fractured the third metacarpal in his right hand. The second-round rookie has started eight straight games at right outside linebacker and has totaled 32 tackles with 2.5 sacks on the season.

A source tells PFT that the Cardinals will not release Larry Fitzgerald this offseason.

Fitzgerald carries an exorbitant $23.6 million cap number for 2015 as part of the eight-year, $128.5 million contract he signed in 2011. Per PFT, the future Hall of Famer could be traded, restructure his deal or lower his cap number via an extension of some sort -- but he won't be cut. Of course, this could be a leverage leak from the team looking to maintain some kind of trade market for a 31-year-old receiver who has just 61 catches, 755 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games this season.
