Ryan Grant pulled in two-of-three targets for 20 yards Sunday in the Redskins’ Week 15 win over the Cardinals.

Grant made a nice catch in traffic on a third-quarter slant route. That went for a 15-yard pickup. Aside from that, it was slim pickings for Grant in a game where the Redskins held the ball for just 23 of 60 minutes. Grant will have his work cut out for him next week against the Broncos’ elite secondary.

Aaron Jones rushed three times for 47 yards in the Packers' Week 15 loss to the Panthers, adding a six-yard reception.

Dec 17 - 6:19 PM

J.J. Nelson absorbed one-of-three targets for 46 yards Sunday in the Cardinals’ Week 15 loss to the Redskins.

Despite his one catch, Nelson still finished second on the team in receiving yards. Nelson’s 46-yard reception was his longest of the season. It came in the second quarter on a play where he was defended by Bashaud Breeland. Nelson had a ball fall through his fingertips in the fourth quarter, but received plenty of contact on the play. The epitome of a boom-or-bust deep threat, Nelson won’t be on the fantasy radar next week, even in a cupcake matchup against the Giants.
Dec 17 - 6:15 PM

Ricky Seals-Jones contributed two catches for 11 yards on six targets Sunday in the Cardinals’ Week 15 loss to the Redskins.

He was the intended target on Blaine Gabbert’s interception, though Gabbert deserves most of the blame for the misfire. Seals-Jones was expected to work as the lead tight end in Jermaine Gresham’s absence but instead he was out-snapped 76-31 by Troy Niklas, who handled three catches for a season-high 41 yards in the loss. RSJ has averaged just 25 yards over his three-game touchdown drought and will be a shaky streaming option against the Giants in Week 16.

Rex Burkhead exited Week 15 against the Steelers in the third quarter with a left knee injury.

Burkhead was injured on a carry near the goal line in the third quarter. It was tough to see what happened, but the fact he was quickly ruled out suggests Burkhead is dealing with a serious injury. Burkhead did convert a short touchdown in the first half before exiting. Dion Lewis should handle the goal-line work the rest of the way.
Dec 17 - 6:13 PM

Elijhaa Penny collected 45 yards on 10 carries Sunday in the Cardinals’ Week 15 loss to the Redskins.

The Cardinals never got close enough to score a touchdown, but if they had, the 234-pound Penny would have been in line for goal-line work. The 10 carries were more than Penny had seen in his previous 12 games combined. Penny could see a handful of carries as a short-yardage hammer against the Giants next week, but he won’t be a realistic fantasy option.
Dec 17 - 6:12 PM

Kerwynn Williams totaled 61 yards on 17 carries Sunday in the Cardinals’ Week 15 loss to the Redskins.

He couldn’t reel in his lone target. Williams got off to a decent start, but was held to just seven yards on three carries after halftime. It was a workmanlike performance from Williams, who out-touched power-back Elijhaa Penny 17-10. Neither player saw much involvement in the passing game. Williams has averaged 18 touches during Adrian Peterson’s three-game absence and should see a similar workload next week against the Giants. That’s enough to keep him in the RB2/3 conversation.
Dec 17 - 6:10 PM

Josh Doctson corralled two-of-four targets for 16 yards Sunday in the Redskins’ Week 15 win over the Cardinals.

Doctson also lost 14 yards on a failed end-around and committed an ugly drop that could have extended a drive in the fourth quarter. He was invisible for much of the day, which was probably to be expected going against Patrick Peterson. It won’t get much easier for Doctson when Aqib Talib and the Broncos pay a visit to FedEx Field in Week 16.
