Adam Jones is not in the Orioles' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.

It looks to be a routine day off for the 31-year-old outfielder. He's hitting .258/.302/.411 with eight homers and 21 RBI in 45 games this season. Joey Rickard is starting in center field and batting leadoff for the O's on Saturday.

Orioles optioned LHP Jayson Aquino to Triple-A Norfolk.

The 24-year-old hurler posted a 9.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in eight innings with the big league club. He should get another opportunity with the O's at some point this summer.

Orioles recalled LHP Donnie Hart from Triple-A Norfolk.

The 26-year-old southpaw has pitched decently in his time with the Orioles this season, compiling a 3.95 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 16/4 K/BB ratio across 13 2/3 innings. He will work in middle relief for the O's.

Ben Zobrist is absent from the Cubs' starting lineup on Saturday.

Ian Happ is getting another start at second base while Jon Jay is starting in center field with Jason Heyward in right. The 36-year-old Zobrist is hitting .261/.352/.458 with six homers and 18 RBI on the season.

Josh Reddick is absent from the Astros' starting lineup on Saturday.

Daniel Murphy is out of the Nationals' lineup on Saturday due to a stomach illness.

That explains his absence from the lineup the last two days and is much more encouraging than hearing he's dealing with an injury. Wilmer Difo continues fill in at second base in his absence.

Wil Myers is not in the Padres' starting lineup for Saturday's showdown against Stephen Strasburg and the Nationals.

An already weak Padres lineup looks even worse without Myers in there. Look for him to be back in there on Sunday.

Rangers transferred RHP Tyson Ross to the 60-day disabled list.

This was done merely as a procedural move to free up a spot on the 40-man roster. Ross is slated to make a minor league rehab start on Monday and could be activated as soon as next weekend against the Reds.
