Jonathan Lucroy (toe) went 1-for-3 in his first minor league rehab game with High-A Brevard County on Thursday.

He caught five innings in the contest. Lucroy has been sidelined since April 20 due to a broken big toe on his left foot. He's going to remain on his rehab assignment through the weekend before rejoining the Brewers on Monday in St. Louis.

Xander Bogaerts has been diagnosed with a bruised left forearm after being hit by a pitch in Thursday's game.

Red Sox fans and fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief that there's no serious damage. The young shortstop should return to the lineup in a day or two.

Travis Snider went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI as the Orioles topped the White Sox 6-3 in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader.

With the emergence of Jimmy Paredes, Snider has seen his playing time cut a bit in recent weeks. His two-hit effort on Thursday raised his season slash to .265/.351/.367 to go along with 10 RBI.

Mike Wright picked up his second victory of the season on Thursday, limiting the White Sox to three runs on six hits over five frames in the second game of their doubleheader.

Wright struck out two on the afternoon without issuing a walk. All of the damage against him came via the long ball, with Adam Eaton belting a solo home run in the first inning and Adam LaRoche connecting on a two-run blast in the fifth. Wright now sports a 1.40 ERA on the season and should continue to hold a spot in the rotation while Bud Norris gets himself back on track.

Adam LaRoche blasted a two-run homer as the White Sox fell to the Orioles in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader.

He finished the game 1-for-3 plus a walk, with his fifth inning bomb coming off of O's starter Mike Wright. LaRoche also had a big day in the first game of the twinbill, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. He's now slashing .235/.363/.383 with five homers and 20 RBI on the year and seems to be breaking out of his early-season funk.

White Sox optioned RHP Chris Beck to Triple-A Charlotte.

Beck made a spot start in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Orioles, allowing four runs on 10 hits over his six innings of work. The 24-year-old also issued four free passes while punching out three on the night. He should get another opportunity the next time the White Sox need an extra starter.

Xander Bogaerts was removed from Thursday's game against the Rangers after being hit by a pitch in his left wrist.

He remained in the game for a few innings after he was drilled, but was pinch-hit for his next time through the order. He'll presumably head for precautionary X-rays and the Red Sox should have an update on his status after the game.
May 28 - 9:28 PM

Brewers sent RHP Rob Wooten outright to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

He's already pitching at Triple-A, but this clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the Brewers. He'll continue to try to get back on track in the minors before hopefully rejoining the Brewers bullpen later in the season.
