Brandon Marshall aggravated his right ankle injury in the second quarter of Monday night's game against the Jets and is questionable to return.

Marshall hurt his ankle while blocking. He was initially deemed probable to return. He limped off the field under his own power before making his way to the locker room. Prior to exiting, Marshall had zero catches on three targets.

Lions signed LB Josh Bynes off the Ravens' practice squad.

Bynes appeared in 15 games last season for Baltimore, making six starts and grading out as a top-15 inside linebacker at Pro Football Focus. He's a run stopper at 6'1/240. Lions DC Teryl Austin was with Bynes in Baltimore last season. Detroit needs the help after losing MLB Stephen Tulloch to a torn ACL.

Coach Mike McCarthy called out Eddie Lacy at Monday's press conference, and said Lacy "needs to play better."

"I’m not going to do this anymore. I don’t correct individuals in the media. We’ve seen the film, corrections have been made, our running game wasn’t nearly what it needed to be. Not even close," McCarthy said. Lacy has managed just 113 yards and zero touchdowns on 36 carries through three games. He also took a safety and lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown on Sunday. To his defense, Lacy has faced the Seahawks, Jets, and Lions through three games. That's tough sledding. He needs to turn it around against the Bears in Week 4.

Free agent OLB James Harrison plans to sign with the Steelers on Tuesday.

That was a short retirement. Harrison, 36, "retired" on August 30 simply because nobody wanted him. He has nothing left in the tank, but it's a feel good story for him to play his last snaps for the Steelers. Pittsburgh needs the help after losing Jarvis Jones to short-term I.R. on Monday. Keep expectations low.

Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) is active for Monday night's game against the Jets.

As expected. Jeffery isn't at 100 percent and was limited in practice, but he's feeling better than last week when he played on the bum hammy. He's a nice WR1 play against a Jets secondary that is missing CB Dee Milliner again.

Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) are both active for Monday night's Week 3 game against the Jets.

Neither player's status was in serious doubt. Marshall is coming off a three-touchdown game on his balky ankle, but Jeffery is said to still be at less than 100 percent. Both are still elite WR1 plays against a weak Jets secondary. Inactive for the Bears are C Roberto Garza, OT Charles Leno, OLB Shea McClellin, CB Sherrick McManis, DT Jeremiah Ratliff, DE Trevor Scott, and LG Matt Slauson.
Sep 22 - 7:17 PM

Eric Decker (hamstring) is active for Monday night's Week 3 game against the Bears.

Decker's hamstring passed the tests in pre-game warmups, and he'll get the start. It's not an ideal matchup for a less-than-100-percent Decker. The Bears have yielded the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers so far this season. Inactive for the Jets are DL T.J. Barnes, OG Dakota Dozier, LB A.J. Edds, CB Dee Milliner, OLB IK Enemkpali, WR Walt Powell, and OT Ben Ijalana.

Cardinals signed RB Marion Grice off the Chargers' practice squad.

The Cardinals escaped Week 3 without any notable injuries. Grice will likely take the spot of RB Jalen Parmele, who was signed when Jonathan Dwyer was sent to the NFI list. Grice is a sixth-round rookie out of Arizona State. He's an average athlete, but can get what's blocked and catch passes out of the backfield. Grice is a candidate to bypass No. 2 RB Stepfan Taylor on the depth chart.
