White Sox recalled RHP Tyler Danish from Triple-A Charlotte.

Danish will start the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers, and it's possible he'll be needed for more starts with Dylan Covey (oblique) out. The righty has put up a 3.15 ERA and 23/13 K/BB ratio over 45 2/3 frames at Charlotte this season and is a poor streaming option.

White Sox recalled RHP Juan Minaya from Triple-A Charlotte.

Minaya holds a 1.23 ERA and 11/4 K/BB ratio over 14 2/3 relief innings at Charlotte this season. He'll be used in the middle of games.

White Sox placed RHP Dylan Covey on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 24, with a left oblique strain.

Covey suffered the injury during Tuesday's start. It's unclear at this point how much time he might miss, but oblique injuries almost always require a longer than minimum DL stay. Tyler Danish is making a start during Friday's doubleheader and it's possible he'll stay around to fill Covey's rotation spot.

Troy Tulowitzki (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list Friday.

Out for over a month with a strained right hamstring, Tulowitzki played in a few rehab games before being cleared to rejoin the Blue Jays. The shortstop will return to a .263/.295/.386 batting line.

The Blue Jays will activate both Josh Donaldson (calf) and Troy Tulowitzki (hamstring) before Friday's game against the Rangers.

Toronto has been playing better in May and will get the left side of their infield back for the beginning of a 10-game homestand, so things are looking up at the moment. Donaldson has been sidelined since April 14 and Tulowitzki has been on the shelf since April 21.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Thursday of Albert Pujols (hamstring) that the club will "wait and see where he is" before determining his status for this weekend.

The Halos won't have the designated hitter spot available this weekend in Miami, so Pujols will have to be used at first base if he plays. He's dealt with a hamstring injury for a little over a week and still isn't at 100 percent, although he played Monday through Wednesday and homered in his last game. Pujols seems like a good bet to start at least a couple games this weekend.

MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports that Mets pitching prospect Tyler Pill will join the club in Pittsburgh.

It seems likely that he would be used out of the bullpen, although that's not clear at the moment. Pill, who turns 27 next Monday, holds a 1.60 ERA across nine starts this season between Double- and Triple-A, although it's come with just 26 strikeouts across 56 1/3 innings. He was not ranked before the season by MLB.com among the Mets' top 30 prospects.

Wilson Ramos (knee) will catch live batting practice on Monday and Thursday of next week at the Rays' spring training complex.

Ramos had said that he was hoping to begin a rehab assignment before the end of May, but clearly that's not going to happen. His workouts are going well, though, so him being cleared for game action doesn't appear to be far off. It's possible he could be ready for designated hitter duty with the Rays sometime next month.
