Josh Reddick went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in Monday's win over the Tigers.

The outfielder was part of the Athletics' decisive four-run sixth inning, notching a three-bagger as the second hitter of the frame before scoring their second run. Reddick got a late start to the season due to an oblique injury but has been raking since his returning, sporting a .314/.382/.536 batting line.

Athletics signed LHP Joe Paterson to a minor league contract.

Paterson was cut loose by the Royals recently after holding a 5.68 ERA over 12 relief appearances at Triple-A Omaha. He'll provide some lefty relief depth for the A's.

Brett Lawrie (back) is expected to return to the lineup Tuesday.

Lawrie has missed the last three games with back tightness, but he's apparently made improvement. The third baseman is batting .279/.310/.364 with two home runs and 16 RBI this season for the A's.

Jonathan Lucroy (toe) is on pace to be activated from the disabled list on June 1.

Lucroy had an X-ray on Monday to see how his fractured left big toe had healed and said that he received good news. He'll go out on a brief rehab assignment later this week, with the exact time and place to be determined. Lucroy has been on the shelf since mid-April.
May 25 - 6:10 PM

Travis d'Arnaud (finger) could be activated from the disabled list as soon as June 1.

That's a best-case scenario, while Mets general manager Sandy Alderson thinks the June 4-7 series versus the Diamondbacks might be a more realistic target. D'Arnaud will play five innings in an extended spring training game on Tuesday before then beginning a rehab assignment at High-A St. Lucie. He's been sidelined since April 20 with a fracture of his right little finger.

Hunter Pence was 3-for-4 with a two-run double and a run scored in Monday's 8-4 comeback win over the Brewers.

Pence also drew a walk and stole a base. He put the exclamation point on a seven-run sixth inning with his two-run double. He's batting .342 (13-for-38) with nine RBI in 10 games since coming off the DL earlier this month.
May 25 - 5:51 PM

Tim Lincecum gave up four runs in five innings in Monday's win over the Brewers.

All the damage came via the home run ball, as Lincecum gave up three of them. He had allowed just one home run in 47 2/3 innings coming into Monday's outing. Lincecum fanned four and walked three in the victory and now sits at 5-2 with a 2.56 through nine starts this season. His velocity continues to decline, as well as his strikeout and walk rates, so we expect his ERA to continue to rise.
May 25 - 5:51 PM

Kyle Lohse was tagged for five runs over 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Giants on Monday.

Lohse held the Giants to just one run over the first five innings, but he was pulled with one out in the sixth after allowing four straight batters to reach. All four of them came around to score in a what turned out to be a seven-run inning for San Francisco. The veteran right-hander was showing signs of progress coming into Monday's start, but he owns a 5.80 ERA through 10 starts on the year. He'll get the Diamondbacks next week.
