Jordan Matthews (ankle) is practicing Thursday.

He looked sharp in his return to practice Wednesday after missing Week 13 and should see plenty of Redskins rookie slot CB Kendall Fuller on Sunday.
Dec 8 - 11:59 AM

Robert Woods (knee) is practicing again Thursday.

Woods looks set to return from a two-week absence. With the Bills getting healthy, Woods will settle in as a low-floor/low-upside WR3/4 vs. Pittsburgh.
Dec 8 - 11:58 AM

Sammy Watkins (foot) returned to practice Thursday.

His Wednesday absence didn't seem to be any reason for concern after coach Rex Ryan said Watkins felt better coming out of Week 13 than he did Week 12. Watkins snaps went up last week, and we'd expect them to rise again this Sunday against the Steelers. Watkins will be a WR2/3 with big upside.
Dec 8 - 11:52 AM

A.J. Green (hamstring) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.

He's not going to play this week. Green has been working on side fields with the Bengals training staff in practice this week, but he's at least another week away from a return. Brandon LaFell is the default No. 1 receiver.
Dec 8 - 11:34 AM

Robert Griffin III will start Week 14 against the Bengals.

This was expected but is now official. The Browns want to see what they have in Griffin after losing him in the season opener. Griffin will get the final four weeks to audition for the 2017 starting job, but the odds are stacked against him. Cleveland can save $7.5 million from releasing Griffin this offseason.
Dec 8 - 11:00 AM

Mohamed Sanu (groin) isn't expected to play in Week 14.

Sanu missed practice Wednesday and is trending in the wrong direction. The Falcons are more "optimistic" on Julio Jones (toe) this week. Justin Hardy and Taylor Gabriel will see bigger role if Sanu doesn't play against the Rams.
Dec 8 - 10:46 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Falcons are "optimistic" Julio Jones (toe) will play this week.

Jones missed most of the fourth quarter last week with turf toe. He didn't practice Wednesday but the Falcons are expecting him to play through the injury. Jones is likely going to see a lot of Trumaine Johnson if he suits up. Even at less than 100 percent, he'll be a WR1 against the Rams.
Dec 8 - 10:34 AM

The New York Daily News reports impending free agent Jason Pierre-Paul's Giants future is up in the air.

Pierre-Paul is done for the season after undergoing sports-hernia surgery. It's possible he won't be back with the Giants after playing out this year on the franchise tag. Pierre-Paul graded as one of PFF's top 4-3 ends, but six of his seven sacks came against Cleveland and Chicago in the two weeks before he went down. Pierre-Paul is likely going to be targeting Olivier Vernon money (five years, $85M). He would cost the Giants $15.7 million to tag in 2017.
