Saints promoted QB Ryan Griffin from the practice squad.
Griffin has spent the entire year on the Saints' practice squad after failing to beat out Luke McCown for backup duties in the preseason. He'll serve as the No. 3 quarterback for Sunday's finale.
Saints placed NT John Jenkins (abdomen) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Ryan Griffin was promoted in a corresponding move. Jenkins appeared in 12 games, starting the last four weeks with Brodrick Bunkley sidelined. The Saints will go with Tyrunn Walker and Brandon Deaderick at nose tackle in Week 17.
Raiders CB T.J. Carrie (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Week 17.
Carrie was listed as questionable, but won't play in the season finale. He'll finish his rookie year with 44 tackles and one interception across 13 games (four starts). Carrie should return as one of Oakland's top three corners in 2015.
Vikings impending free agent DT Tom Johnson said he's looking for a multi-year deal.
Johnson has 6.5 sacks in a sub-package role this year. After being forced to settle for a one-year deal last offseason, he's hoping to land a long-term contract. Johnson should draw interest as a situational pass-rusher in 4-3 schemes.
Vikings LG Charlie Johnson is a candidate for offseason release.
Johnson has missed the last two games due to injury and struggled when in the starting lineup. He's due a non-guaranteed $2.5 million in 2015. The Vikings will almost certainly move on from Johnson this offseason.
ESPN Cleveland doesn't expect Josh Gordon to remain with the Browns in 2015.
The Browns suspended Gordon after he failed to show up for Saturday's walk-through. The move means he'll finish with just five games active this season, which could prevent him from being eligible for unrestricted free agency when his contract runs out in 2015. According to ESPN's Tony Grossi, "it appears doubtful" that Gordon will be back with the team. The Browns nearly traded Gordon prior to the 2013 deadline and could shop him again this offseason.
Andrew Hawkins (thumb) is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Hawkins missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but was able to get in a limited session on Friday. With Josh Gordon suspended, the Browns could be forced to start Taylor Gabriel and Travis Benjamin if Hawkins is held out.
Cowboys MLB Rolando McClain (illness) has been ruled out for Week 17 against the Redskins after not traveling with the team.
McClain got in full practices on Thursday and Friday, so he likely came down with the illness Friday night. With the three seed locked up and a first-round bye a pipe dream, Dallas has no reason to push their starting MLB.
