Chris Archer kept rolling along Sunday, yielding just two hits and one walk while striking out seven across seven shutout frames in a 5-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Archer allowed two of the first four hitters he faced to reach base and then just one got on the rest of the way. The young right-hander is on some kind of streak, as he hasn't allowed an earned run in his last four outings after a so-so Opening Day start. He already has three starts this season where he's given up two hits or fewer and no runs across seven innings. Archer will take on the Orioles in Baltimore next weekend.

Anthony DeSclafani allowed five runs -- one earned -- over five innings Sunday in the Reds' loss to the Cubs.

DeSclafani was victimized by fielding errors from Todd Frazier and Brandon Phillips in taking his first loss of the 2015 season. Because four of the Cubs' runs were unearned, DeSclafani still boasts a shiny 1.04 ERA in 26 innings to go along with a 0.77 WHIP and 21/6 K/BB ratio. He'll hope for some better defense next Friday in Atlanta.

Rajai Davis was removed from Sunday's game against the Indians due to tightness in his right groin.

Davis pulled up while running to first base on a single in the ninth inning. He appears to have avoided anything significant though and is considered day-to-day.
Apr 26 - 4:10 PM

Mark Buehrle was lit up for five runs on 13 hits and a walk over 5 2/3 frames in Sunday's loss to the Rays.

Just two of the 13 hits he surrendered went for extra bases, but clearly the Rays didn't have any trouble with Buehrle in this one. The veteran left-hander had posted three straight quality starts before this shellacking. He'll try to bounce back in Cleveland next weekend.

Astros prospect Carlos Correa had a productive night Saturday, going 3-for-5 with a homer and a stolen base for Double-A Corpus Christi in the second game of a doubleheader.

Correa rebounded nicely after going hitless in the first game of the doubleheader. The 20-year-old has quietly been one of the best hitters in Double-A this season, ranking fifth in the Texas League in batting average (.356) and second in RBI (16). It's only a matter of time before he gets called up to Triple-A Fresno.

Dan Haren limited the Nationals to two runs over five innings Sunday in the Marlins' 6-2 victory.

Haren gave up a bomb to Bryce Harper in the top of the second inning but otherwise looked strong, yielding only three total hits and whiffing three Nationals. He was reluctant to join the Marlins this offseason, but the 34-year-old right-hander owns an impressive 3.38 ERA and 0.92 WHIP through 24 innings. He'll try to keep it all rolling next time out against the Phillies.
Apr 26 - 4:05 PM

Brandon Guyer made the most of a spot start Sunday, homering and driving in four runs in a win over the Blue Jays.

Starting in place of the injured Desmond Jennings (knee), Guyer took Mark Buehrle deep in the first inning, hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth and singled in another run in the sixth. Guyer plays pretty regularly versus lefties but could see some more time against righties if Jennings' injury lingers.
Apr 26 - 4:04 PM

Rajai Davis exited Sunday's game against the Indians with an apparent leg injury.

Davis had to be pinch-run for after singling in the ninth inning. The Tigers should provide an update on his status shortly.
