Chris Stratton got rocked Saturday in the Giants’ Cactus League win over the Padres, allowing nine hits, seven runs and one walk over three disastrous innings.

He also added three strikeouts. Four of the Padres’ nine hits off Stratton went for extra bases including three homers. The Padres got to Statton for three hits in every inning and scored at least twice in each frame. Saturday’s debacle brought Stratton’s spring ERA up from 1.80 all the way to 9.00. Stratton spent most of last year in the minor leagues and will probably head back there at the start of 2017.

Updating an earlier report, Ehire Adrianza suffered a strained right oblique in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles.

Adrianza was believed to be dealing with a foot injury but it's actually his oblique that's bothering him. Twins manager Paul Molitor described the injury as "fairly acute," but wouldn't give a timetable for his return. Adrianza is a near lock to begin on the year on the disabled list.

Ross Detwiler is expected to opt out of his minor league contract on Sunday.

Detwiler has pitched to a brutal 11.88 ERA over eight Cactus League outings and can see the writing on the wall. "The way the last couple of games went I can guess," he said. With no chance of making the Opening Day roster, Detwiler will opt out and see what his options are elsewhere. Detwiler's next team will be his sixth since 2014.

Dodgers reassigned RHP Trevor Oaks to minor league camp.

He'll be joined by Steve Geltz and Yaisel Sierra, who were also sent down on Saturday. Oaks held his own against big-league hitters this spring, delivering a 2.38 ERA over five Cactus League appearances. The 23-year-old (he turns 24 on Sunday) made it as high as Triple-A last year and will probably begin there in 2017. The Dodgers' roster is down to 43 with only a week left in spring training.

Stuart Turner went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple in Saturday's split-squad Cactus League showdown with the A's.

While not the most fleet a-foot on the basepaths, Turner has now picked up a pair of triples during spring action. The Reds selected him from the Twins with the No. 17 pick in this winter's Rule 5 draft. Given his struggles in the minors last season (.239/.322/.363 in 370 plate appearances at Double-A in the Twins' system) he is unlikely to land a spot on the Opening Day roster.

Hector Santiago scattered four hits and two runs over four innings Saturday in the Twins’ Grapefruit League loss to the Orioles.

He racked up four strikeouts and only walked one. Santiago struggled with the long ball on Saturday, serving up solo blasts to J.J. Hardy and Jonathan Schoop. The left-hander now holds an 8.22 ERA over three Grapefruit League outings. He also appeared in three games for Puerto Rico at the World Baseball Classic.

J.J. Hardy clobbered a solo home run Saturday in the Orioles’ Grapefruit League win over the Twins.

He struck out in his other two at-bats. The home run was Hardy’s first of spring training. The veteran missed time with back trouble earlier this month but returned to the lineup a couple weeks ago. Hardy has eclipsed 20 homers five times in his career but hasn’t reached that threshold since 2013. He's only an option in AL-only leagues.

Rajai Davis went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and three runs scored in Saturday's split-squad Cactus League affair with the Reds.

Davis socked a two-run home run off Amir Garrett in the third inning. That was his first homer of the spring. The veteran outfielder is not much of a power threat on the whole -- his 12 dingers a year ago were the most he has hit in a season -- but offers a strong speed aspect for fantasy owners, having swiped at least 35 bases in four of the last five seasons. He stole 43 during the 2016 season.
