Bryan Mitchell surrendered three runs in three-plus innings Sunday versus the Rays.

This wasn't quite what Mitchell was hoping for with a rotation spot very much on the line. The Yankees could have their rotation candidates pitch once more before making any final decisions, but they'd like to have a better idea about their fourth and fifth starters by this point. Mitchell has a 4.57 ERA this spring, but his K/BB ratio is a fine 22/5 in 21 2/3 innings. We think he's a weaker fantasy sleeper than his competition, most notably Luis Severino and Adam Warren.

Ruben Tejada homered and walked Sunday in the win over the Rays.

Tejada could be a beneficiary of Didi Gregorius' injury, landing a roster spot as a part-time shortstop and backup at second base. He's batting .286 in 35 at-bats this spring.

Matt Andriese was tagged for six runs in 4 1/3 innings by the Yankees on Sunday.

Andriese entered camp as the favorite to open up as the Rays' fifth starter, but he's done nothing to lay claim to the role. He even walked four batters today, which was an oddity from a guy who walked a total of 25 in 127 2/3 innings in the majors last year. Andriese's struggles are likely good news for Blake Snell, who has had similar issues this spring but was on stronger ground for the fourth spot going in.

Twins reassigned 1Bs Ben Paulsen and Matt Hague and INF Benji Gonzalez to minor league camp.

Paulsen couldn't force his way onto the Opening Day roster despite hitting .314/.400/.457 with a homer and five RBI in Grapefruit League competition. He'll function as depth at Triple-A to begin the season.

Jose Reyes went 3-for-4 with a triple from the leadoff spot as the Mets beat the Braves 8-2 on Sunday.

Reyes figures to play pretty regularly early on, and he'll be the leadoff guy whenever he starts, making him worthy of a lineup spot in mixed leagues. Most likely, he won't be as much of an asset to the Mets as he will be to fantasy teams, and his playing time could dwindle in time, especially if David Wright is able to make it back at some point.

Matt Harvey impressed over six innings Sunday, allowing two runs versus the Braves.

Reports had Harvey in the mid-90s, topping out at 97 mph, in this one, though his velocity did fade later in the outing. It's still a good sign, as the Mets were hoping to see some 96s and 97s from him leading into the regular season.

Mets manager Terry Collins said Sunday that Robert Gsellman will open the season in the club's starting rotation.

This has been expected for some time and became even more secure with the injury to Steven Matz. If Matz is unable to be ready for the start of the season, the Mets would also carry Seth Lugo or Zack Wheeler in the rotation. Gsellman is an outstanding target in the later rounds of mixed league drafts.

Andrew Benintendi went 2-for-4 and hit his third homer of the spring Sunday in Boston's 7-2 win against Minnesota.

He also had an outfield assist, connecting with Dustin Pedroia on a strong relay to retire Brian Dozier at home plate. Benintendi is hitting .315 with a .980 OPS. The Red Sox gave some thought to hitting him third initially, but it appears they'll stick with the original plan to bat him second and Mookie Betts third, at least against righties. Benintendi could be dropped in the order in favor of Xander Bogaerts versus lefties.
