Joe Mixon believes the Bengals need to run the football more.

Despite some rare success on the ground in the first half, Mixon did not record a carry after the break while Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard were mostly uninvolved as well. "It's frustrating to us running backs," Mixon said. "If it worked in the first half, why not do it in the second?" Mixon's workload had been fairly steady before the bye, and he still led the backfield in touches on Sunday. He should bounce back in a good spot against the Colts this week.

Martavis Bryant expressed frustration about his role and seemed to confirm reports of a trade request on Instagram.

Responding to a comment he was tagged in which said rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster is a better player, Bryant wrote, "JuJu is no where near better than me fool. All they need to do is give me what I want and y'all can have JuJu and who ever else." That comment has since been deleted, but it all but confirms Bryant wants out. The trade deadline is October 31.

Judge Katherine Polk Failla denied the NFL's request to expedite Ezekiel Elliott's injunction hearing.

The hearing will be held next Monday (October 30), a day after the Cowboys face the Redskins. Elliott will be able to play in that game, but his future after that is in Judge Failla's hands. They are not going to help this week, but Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden are worth holding until this situation shakes out.

Rob Gronkowski caught 3-of-7 targets for 51 yards in Week 7 against Atlanta.

Gronkowski had a huge catch overturned for offensive pass interference in the first half. He couldn't get anything going with Tom Brady, and wasn't needed with the Patriots running the clock to protect their lead. This will likely go down as one of his worst games of the season. Gronkowski should rebound against the Chargers in Week 8

Austin Hooper caught one pass for six yards in Week 7 against the Patriots.

Hooper didn't start, and was a non-factor in the pass game. It's a letdown after he was targeted nine times last week. Hooper has been highly inconsistent this year. He's not on the Week 8 streaming radar.

Taylor Gabriel caught two passes for 27 yards in Week 7 against the Patriots.

Gabriel had a goal-line carry on an end around, but couldn't score. He saw his role reduced with Mohamed Sanu back in the lineup. Gabriel can be dropped in redraft leagues.
Oct 23 - 12:13 AM

Mohamed Sanu caught 6-of-10 targets for 65 yards in Week 7 against the Patriots.

Sanu saw seven of his ten targets in the first half. He had a featured role in his first game back from a hamstring injury. Sanu is trending up, but is just a WR4 for Week 8.

Danny Amendola caught 3-of-4 passes for 17 yards in Week 7 against the Falcons.

It was another low-volume week for Amendola. He has just nine targets over the last two games. Amendola should be avoided in Week 8 against the Chargers.
