Spencer Ware rushed 20 times for 75 yards and hauled in his only target for 8 yards in the Chiefs' Week 3 win over the Jets.

Sep 25 - 7:54 PM

Alex Smith completed 25-of-33 passes for 237 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' Week 3 win over the Jets.

Smith's touchdown came on an easy short throw to Travis Kelce, who did the rest with a dive for the pylon. Smith was on pace for a bigger game at halftime, but the Jets’ inability to do anything on offense allowed the Chiefs to just sit on the ball and limited him to just 11 passes in the second half. More concerning for his fantasy value, Smith had zero rushing attempts in this game outside of three kneel-downs and has just 14 yards on the ground through three games. If he is not running, he is not worth using in standard leagues. He will be a low-end QB2 on Sunday night against the Steelers.

Melvin Gordon rushed 16 times for 35 yards and one touchdown in the Chargers' 26-22, Week 3 loss to the Colts, adding four catches for 43 yards on seven targets.

In a dream spot against a horrific Colts defense, Gordon was a mild disappointment, though he was able to save his fantasy day with a one-yard touchdown plunge. The Colts had been eviscerated by opposing running backs Weeks 1 and 2, but held Gordon to just 2.2 YPC. Gordon played a ton on passing downs, but Philip Rivers threw one ball at his feet and overshot him on what should have been a walk-in 16-yard touchdown on a screen pass. Gordon will be in an elite spot once again Week 4 when San Diego hosts the Saints on a short week.

MMQB's Albert Breer reports the Seahawks believe Russell Wilson has a sprained MCL in his left knee.

It's perhaps more notable that both coach Pete Carroll and Wilson himself expressed confidence after Sunday's win that Wilson will be able to play in Week 4 against the Jets. NBC's Mike Florio reported Wilson will undergo an MRI on Sunday night to determine the full extent of the damage. Wilson insisted he "doesn't think the knee injury is as serious as it looked." Wilson is also dealing with a high ankle sprain on his right leg.
Sep 25 - 7:51 PM

Bilal Powell hauled in 6-of-7 targets for 41 yards and rushed four times for 30 yards in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.

With the Jets in comeback mode in the second half, Powell saw plenty of targets down the stretch and actually ended up leading the team in catches and receiving yards. He was more involved on third downs and in obvious passing situations this week, but Matt Forte remains the clear lead back. Powell is just a handcuff at this point.

Tyler Lockett was not targeted in the Seahawks' Week 3 win over San Francisco.

Lockett entered this game listed as questionable with a knee injury, but his health was not an issue. He returned a punt 62 yards and nearly took it to the house, but simply wasn't a big part of the passing game on a day where Doug Baldwin (8-164-1) and Jimmy Graham (6-100-1) did the heavy lifting. Lockett will continue to be a volatile fantasy option in the Seahawks' offense. His yardage totals through three games are 17, 99, and 0.
Sep 25 - 7:47 PM

Quincy Enunwa hauled in 3-of-11 targets for 37 yards Week 3 against the Chiefs.

Enunwa's 11 targets led the team, but he was not able to do much with the work outside from a good run in the third quarter culminating in a fourth-down conversion down to the Chiefs' five-yard line. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an interception two plays later. The passing game will have better days, but next week against Seattle is unlikely to be one of them. Enunwa should be sat in that contest.
Sep 25 - 7:47 PM

T.Y. Hilton caught 8-of-11 targets for 174 yards and one touchdown in the Colts' 26-22, Week 3 win over the Chargers.

Hilton did battle against Chargers rising star CB Jason Verrett for much of the day, but got the better of him when all was said and done. Hilton made a slick grab deep down the sideline with Verrett draped on him in the third quarter, and then accounted for the game-winning 63-yard score late in the fourth quarter, running right by the defense down the middle. The knee "injury" that had Hilton listed questionable proved to be a non-issue. Hilton will be a WR1/2 next week when the Colts travel to London to face the Jaguars.
