Kendall Graveman limited the Indians to an unearned run over 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision on Friday.

After three straight poor starts, each worse than the last, Graveman turned it around nicely tonight. He allowed five hits, walked two and struck out six. His rotation spot might have been in jeopardy with another poor showing tonight, but he's worth playing in AL-only leagues for as long as the A's stick with him.

Edward Mujica gave up a run in a tie game Friday to take a loss against the Indians.

Mujica is Oakland's closer for now following the Tyler Clippard trade, but he could be part of an August deal if anyone wants him and he could be replaced by Sean Doolittle for the final month if everything goes well with the left-hander's rehab. So, while Mujica has some value in mixed leagues right now, he's not exactly someone to count on.

Lonnie Chisenhall went 3-for-4 with a double and a steal as the Indians' right fielder on Friday.

Chisenhall will get a chance to take some of David Murphy's at-bats, though how much playing he receives will hinge on what happens with Nick Swisher following his return. ideally, Chisenhall would be in there pretty regularly against right-handers the rest of the way before the Indians have to decide whether to tend him a contract for 2016.

Taijuan Walker pitched a one-hitter and struck out 11 as the Mariners beat the Twins 6-1 on Friday.

The lone hit was Miguel Sano's solo homer in the fourth inning. It's Walker's first career complete-game victory (he had one other complete game, but it was an eight-inning loss to the Blue Jays last season). He might be prone to bouts with inconsistency, but he should still be worth riding in mixed leagues the rest of the way.

Tommy Milone gave up four runs and 11 hits in six innings Friday in a loss to the Mariners.

This makes three subpar starts in a row for Milone, taking his ERA from 2.83 to 3.77. It'd seem to be time for the Twins to give Trevor May another shot at the back of their rotation.
Aug 1 - 2:45 AM

Nelson Cruz finished 4-for-5 with a homer and a double versus the Twins in Friday's win.

After a month and a half of little production, Cruz has picked it back up again since the All-Star break, hitting six homers in his last 15 games. He remains a particularly strong DFS play whenever the Mariners are facing a mediocre lefty.
Aug 1 - 2:43 AM

Jesus Montero went 2-for-4 and homered Friday against the Twins.

Montero is up to serve as a starter against left-handers, but he figures to get the opportunity to overtake Logan Morrison at first base in short order. He's earned it with his performance in Triple-A this year.
Aug 1 - 2:41 AM

Michael Wacha shut out the Rockies for seven innings, striking out seven, in a victory Friday.

Wacha is the fifth pitcher to reach 12 wins this season, but this the first time he's pitched at least seven scoreless innings in a start. Randy Choate and Seth Maness finished the six-hit shutout tonight.
