Adrian Peterson (groin) remained out of Vikings practice Thursday.
Christian Ponder (concussion) remained out of Vikings practice Thursday.
Ponder is now extremely unlikely to gain clearance in time for Sunday's game against the Ravens, leaving starting duties to Matt Cassel. It's not a terrible downgrade for the Vikings' skill players, but only Adrian Peterson will be worth starting.
Rashad Jennings (concussion) participated in Raiders practice for the second straight day Thursday.
Barring a setback, Jennings is on track to start and carry a heavy load against the Jets' top-ranked run defense. Darren McFadden (ankle) won't be active, meaning Jennings will be backed up by FB Marcel Reece. The Jets are a forbidding matchup, but Jennings' workload and goal-line chances are keeping him on the RB2 radar.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) "made progress" on Thursday, but that there's "no more clarity" regarding his Week 14 status.
Rodgers was officially limited despite practicing in pads for the first time since going down. McCarthy refused to officially rule Rodgers out, but continued to hint it will be Matt Flynn under center against the Falcons. McCarthy was evasive when asked if Rodgers would undergo another scan before Sunday's game. It sounds like the Pack are hoping against hope that Rodgers will gain clearance, but aren't expecting it.
Jay Cutler (ankle) returned to Bears practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.
It gives Cutler at least a shot at returning for Monday night's game against the Cowboys, but details are scarce. Cutler declined comment after practice. It's quite possible the Bears are just getting his feet wet ahead of a possible return in Week 15. With Josh McCown playing extremely well in Cutler's absence, the Bears don't have to force the issue. For the moment, we still expect McCown to get the start on Monday Night Football.
Jonathan Stewart (ankle) remained out of Panthers practice Thursday, but coach Ron Rivera is "not concerned," and expects J-Stew to return on Friday.
It sounds like the Panthers are just managing Stewart's reps after he notched 16 touches in Sunday's win. His status will be updated on Friday. With DeAngelo Williams (quad) appearing likely to return, J-Stew won't be on the FLEX radar against the Saints.
Darren McFadden (ankle) remained absent from Raiders practice Thursday.
The league's most injury-prone running back isn't going to be active Sunday, leaving FB Marcel Reece to back up Rashad Jennings. DMC can be safely dropped in re-draft leagues.
Eddie Royal (toe, chest) remained out of Chargers practice Thursday.
Royal is trending toward missing his second consecutive game, though it's possible he'll end up a game-time decision. Either way, he's a no go as a WR5 with the Bolts not kicking off until 4:25 PM ET.
