C.J. Prosise (ankle) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's his first practice since going down in Week 3. Coach Pete Carroll expects Prosise to play Sunday against the Giants. Prosise's return could reduce J.D. McKissic to a reserve role.

The Indianapolis Star's Zak Keefer conceded Wednesday he "wouldn't be surprised" if Andrew Luck (shoulder) missed the entire season.

Keefer's Indy Star colleague, Stephen Holder, also suggested Luck is no lock to play again this year following the setback in his surgically repaired shoulder. To put it frankly, the Colts lied to their fanbase. Owner Jim Irsay stated as late as the final week of preseason that Luck had a chance to play in Week 1, and the Colts activated Luck from the PUP list in what was perceived as a sign he would play inside the first seven weeks. None of those things happened, and the team is now claiming a setback. Luck should have been dropped in re-draft leagues long ago. At this point, we expect Jacoby Brissett to be the Colts' rest-of-season starter.

George Kittle (back, elbow) is practicing fully for Week 7.

Kittle has dealt with multiple injuries this year, but hasn't missed any games. He's on the streaming radar for Week 7 against the Cowboys.

According to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star, Colts RT Denzelle Good (wrist) is "definitely" a candidate to return from injured reserve.

Holder admitted he's not sure of Good's timeline, but it sounds like there's a good chance he'll return before the year is out. Good landed on I.R. after suffering a torn wrist ligament in Week 1. Joe Haeg has been filling in at right tackle since then.

Branden Oliver (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 7 against the Broncos.

It looks like Oliver is finally ready to return after sitting out the past two weeks with a hamstring injury. He's merely a change-of-pace option behind workhorse Melvin Gordon.
Oct 18 - 6:59 PM

Melvin Gordon (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's a new injury for Gordon. The limited practice suggests it's a non-issue for Week 7. Gordon struggled against Denver earlier this year, but the Broncos are coming off a 100-plus yard game to Orleans Darkwa.

Lions released DE Datone Jones.

Wednesday brought a flurry of roster activity for the Lions, who released Jones, George Johnson and Caraun Reid while bringing in Bryce Harris, Brad Kaaya and Jacquies Smith. Jones didn't see the field during his eight-day tenure with the Lions. The former first-round pick will hope to resurface as a situational pass-rusher.

Cowboys WLB Sean Lee (hamstring) is practicing fully for Week 7.

Lee is healthy coming off the Cowboys' bye. He's on track to play Sunday against the 49ers after missing two games. Lee's return is a huge upgrade to a struggling run defense.
