The Suns are trading P.J. Tucker to the Raptors in exchange for Jared Sullinger and two second-round picks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
The Raptors get their guy at the deadline buzzer and it didn't cost them any first-round picks. There was some talk that the Raptors wanted Tucker to help guard LeBron James in the playoffs. He figures to take a few minutes away from Norman Powell and DeMarre Carroll on his new team. Also with Tucker gone, T.J. Warren should be looking at big minutes, assuming he can avoid too may defensive hiccups.
Anthony Morrow has been traded to the Bulls.
It appears that the Bulls are switching into rebuild mode, so this isn't a great spot for Morrow. He could be in the rotation because the Bulls have little to no perimeter shooting with Doug McDermott in OKC, but most fantasy owners can monitor Morrow from the wire. He averaged 5.8 points and 0.9 triples in 15.7 minutes per game for the Thunder.
Atlanta has traded Mike Scott to the Suns for cash, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
The Hawks don't need Scott anymore with Ersan Ilysasova around. The Suns are under the salary cap, so it's basically just a salary dump here. He is not expected to take minutes away from a heating-up Marquese Chriss.
Cameron Payne has been traded to the Bulls as part of a multi-player deal with the Thunder, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
Chicago has been starting Jerian Grant at PG and it's reasonable to assume that Payne will overtake him quickly, if not immediately. The Bulls are hoping that Payne is their PG of the future and he's an interesting add if you need a cheap guard down the stretch -- he should already be owned in dynasty formats.
The Rockets acquired Marcelo Huertas on Thursday and will waive him.
With his cheap contract, he likely will go through waivers and look to sign a 10-day deal. Huertas is not a lock to pick up a deal with a new team.
Joffrey Lauvergne has been traded to the Bulls.
Even though Taj Gibson is moving on to OKC, Chicago isn't necessarily a great spot for King Joffrey because the Bulls probably want to give Bobby Portis most of the power forward minutes as they look towards the future. Lauvergne is worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues, especially if the Bulls move another big like Nikola Mirotic or Robin Lopez. He averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 0.4 steals in 14.8 minutes per game for OKC.
Tyler Ennis has been traded to the Lakers for Marcelo Huertas, according to The Vertical.
The Rockets continue to shed some money to now get them under the cap. Ennis could get minutes of guys like Jose Calderon are bought out, but frankly he hasn't been very good.
Taj Gibson has been traded to the Thunder as part of a deal bringing Cameron Payne to Chicago, according to The Vertical.
Gibson gives the Thunder a veteran PF at a position of weakness, as they've been starting rookie Domantas Sabonis out of necessity all season. It's unclear whether Gibson might earn the starting job, and the return of Enes Kanter (arm) does him no favors, so this doesn't seem like an overly positive development for his fantasy value. The biggest winner here is Bobby Portis, who should step into the vacuum created by Gibson's departure.
