Mets manager Terry Collins said Wednesday that he expects Curtis Granderson (ribs) back in the lineup on Saturday.

Granderson injured his ribs, forearm and knee when he collided with the wall during Monday's game. He's missing a second straight start Wednesday and evidently will sit out Friday, as well, following Thursday's off day. The offseason signee will return to a .170/.291/.319 batting line with one homer and four RBI on Saturday.

Mets manager Terry Collins said Wednesday that Bartolo Colon (back) will be fine to make his start on Saturday.

Colon dealt with a back issue during his last outing, which had Saturday's start up in the air. Evidently, though, the rotund right-hander has progressed enough to where his availability for the start versus the Braves over the weekend isn't in question.

Dodgers prospect OF Joc Pederson had huge game on Tuesday, going 4-for-4 with a two home runs, a double, walk and five RBI for Triple-A Albuquerque.

The 21-year-old is off to a ridiculous start this season, as he's now batting .442/.564/.844 with four doubles, five home runs, four steals and a 9/12 strikeout-to-walk ratio through 12 games. Pederson is playing like he's ready for an audition in the major leagues, but he's doubtful to get the call anytime soon without an injury to one of the Dodgers' current outfielders. For that same reason, expect Pederson to be one of the top prospect trade targets this season.

Curtis Granderson (ribs) remained out of the Mets' lineup Wednesday.

Granderson banged his ribs, forearm and knee when he collided with the wall during Monday's game. He's now missed two straight starts, but with the off day Thursday he has a shot to be back in there Friday. Andrew Brown is handling right field Wednesday. Travis d'Arnaud is also getting a day off Wednesday, with Anthony Recker filling in at catcher.

Wednesday's game between the Blue Jays and Twins has been postponed due to inclement weather.

They're expecting a few inches of snow in Minneapolis Wednesday, so they went ahead and banged the game well before first pitch. The weather is supposed to be much better Thursday, when a split doubleheader will now be on the docket. Wednesday's scheduled starters, R.A. Dickey and Mike Pelfrey, will presumably just be pushed back a day.

Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said Wednesday that Brad Peacock or Jerome Williams would likely take Lucas Harrell's spot in the rotation.

Harrell was designated for assignment after another brutal outing Tuesday. Neither Peacock nor Williams has looked good in the early going, with Peacock holding a 6.00 ERA over three relief appearances and Williams posting a 7.71 mark over four relief outings. Harrell's rotation spot will come up again on Sunday.

Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports that Logan Morrison (hamstring) could be headed to the disabled list.

The Mariners are calling up Nick Franklin, and Divish sees a Morrison DL stint as the most logical corresponding move. LoMo injured his right hamstring in Monday's game and according to Divish had it "heavily bandaged" Tuesday. The 26-year-old is batting just .150/.227/.150 with no homers and no RBI in eight games so far this season.

MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports that Tom Gorzelanny (shoulder) had "a little setback" last week but is "back on track."

Gorzelanny is still working his way back from offseason shoulder surgery. He's expected to miss most, if not all, of April.
