Braves recalled RHP Cory Rasmus from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Rasmus has a 0.93 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 21/9 K/BB ratio in 19 1/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level. The younger brother of Blue Jays center fielder Colby Rasmus, he should do well in a middle relief role.

Scott Feldman fired 6 2/3 scoreless innings in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Mets.

Feldman held the lifeless Mets' lineup in check, scattering seven hits while walking only one batter. He fanned six in the victory and now sits at 4-3 with a 2.19 ERA and 39/18 K/BB ratio in 49 1/3 innings across eight starts. Feldman isn't going to maintain this pace, as he has been rather fortunate with his BABIP (batting average on balls in play), but he's worth considering in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.

Jeremy Hefner was tagged with four runs in four innings Saturday in a loss to the Cubs.

Hefner tossed three scoreless frames before he gave up four runs in his final inning of work. The big blow as a two-run double by opposing pitcher Scott Feldman. Hefner had been pitching better recently, but the poor outing pulls his ERA back to 5.00 for the year. He shouldn't be an option outside of deeper NL-only leagues.

Braves placed LHP Eric O'Flaherty on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left elbow.

It's not clear yet how long he might be out. O'Flaherty was rocking a 2.50 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through 18 innings.

Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored Saturday against the Mets.

Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt is quickly emerging as one of the game's best young first basemen, but Rizzo is nipping at his heels. The 23-year-old is hitting .390 (32-for-84) over his last 21 games and has 10 homers and 30 RBI on the year.
May 18 - 4:07 PM

Rick Ankiel went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday against the Cubs.

Ankiel is 6-for-20 (.300) with two homers, four RBI and six strikeouts since joining the Mets earlier this week. The 33-year-old is not going to hit for a high batting average, but he has enough pop to be useful in NL-only leagues as long as he gets regular at-bats in center field.
May 18 - 4:06 PM

Stephen Drew (back) is not in Saturday's lineup.

Drew played through a back issue on Friday, so the Red Sox don't want to take any chances. The injury isn't considered serious, but he'll get the night off against left-hander Scott Diamond.
May 18 - 4:00 PM

Shane Victorino (back) is not in Saturday's lineup against the Twins.

Victorino still isn't 100 percent after his back tighten up Thursday. The Red Sox don't expect him to need a stint on the disabled list. Victorino could return to the lineup by early next week.
