The Hornets are unlikely to bring back general manager Rich Cho on a new contract next season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

It is not a surprising development, considering the Hornets are on pace to miss the postseason despite having one of the league's highest payrolls and little cap flexibility moving forward. Woj is reporting that Charlotte is expected to pursue former Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak to partner in the front office with assistant GM Buzz Peterson.

Brandon Rush has agreed to a 10-day contract with the Blazers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski‏ of ESPN.

Rush has played for four different teams over his nine-year NBA career. He averaged 4.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 47 games (33 starts) for the Timberwolves last season. He should be left on waivers, as it's unlikely he'll be able to carve out a role in the Blazers rotation.

The Knicks signed F Troy Williams to a 10-day contract.

The Rockets waived Williams last week to sign Joe Johnson. The Knicks had an open roster spot, so they didn't need to cut anyone on their active roster. Williams played in 30 games for the Grizzlies and Rockets in 2016-17, but has appeared in just four contests for Houston this season. Williams might see some playing time in New York, as the Knicks are thin at small forward, but he can be left on waivers in all standard-sized leagues

According to ESPN's Ian Begley, the Knicks "are one of several teams to express interest" in Troy Williams.

The Rockets had to waive the 23-year-old forward to make room for Joe Johnson. Williams is expected to make a decision on where to sign "soon," but no other team is mentioned in the report. Williams was buried on the depth chart in Houston, but did have a really strong summer league and could be interesting on a rebuilding team like the Knicks. He's worth monitoring in very deep leagues.

The Raptors are reportedly eying Arron Afflalo, should he reach a buyout agreement with the Magic.

The 32-year-old veteran doesn't make much sense on Orlando's roster, so he could certainly be a buyout candidate. However, regardless of the name across his jersey, he'll remain irrelevant in fantasy hoops.

According to Candace Buckner of the Washington Post, John Wall (knee surgery) "no longer needs crutches and shows no visible hitch in his walk."

It's been two weeks since his surgery, and while John Wall didn't reveal much, he hinted that he's still hoping to return between the 6- to 8-week mark. "I haven’t really tried to get back on the court yet so, just doing the little things. And I haven’t started running yet. So whenever I get to that point I can kind of start grasping stuff and understanding what level I’m at but right now it’s between six to eight weeks," he said. "It might be longer but I don’t know. I haven’t got to that point." We'll continue to track his progress every step of the way, but it's possible he returns in time to help his owners in the fantasy playoffs.

Tiago Splitter announced his retirement from the NBA on Sunday.

He was hoping for another job before the season, but the right opportunity never came. Since then, Splitter has been working as a reporter. The 33-year-old Brazilian has career averages of 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.6 blocks.

LeBron James led his All-Star team to a spirited win on Sunday with 29 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, four 3-pointers and one steal in a game-high 31 minutes.

LeBron earned All-Star MVP honors and his team played surprisingly aggressive defense down the stretch, including a suffocating double-team against Stephen Curry at the end of regulation. In the process, LeBron passed Oscar Robertson for fifth-most assists in All-Star game history, and he's just two assists behind Bob Cousy. King James wasn't messing around tonight, and we can only hope this sets the tone for future All-Star games.
