Kyle Seager went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk and three runs scored Friday versus the Astros.

Seager still hasn't had a hot streak this year, but it's going to come at some point and it's not like he's been a disaster thus far. His .257/.333/.413 line is disappointing, but he's still on pace for 92 RBI.

Danny Valencia went 4-for-5 with two RBI versus the Astros on Friday.

Valencia's hot streak had fizzled of late, but he's reached base eight times the last two days, raising his OBP from .315 to .333. The Mariners should still be thinking about a first-base upgrade prior to the trade deadline. Valencia isn't bad, but he could be more useful as a part-timer.

Lucas Duda homered and doubled twice Friday as the Mets crushed the Giants 11-4.

The second double would have been a homer pretty much anywhere other than San Francisco, and it even drew a replay review there, but it was ruled to have bounced off the top of the wall in right-center. Duda now has 13 homers and 13 doubles, which suggests that he should have more than 27 RBI and 20 runs scored this season. However, 10 of those homers have been solo shots, and the Mets haven't had much hitting behind him in the order this year.

Michael Conforto went 3-for-5 with two RBI against the Giants on Friday.

Conforto, who has had some problems with a stiff back, didn't play Wednesday before the off day Thursday. He needs to hit to ensure his presence in the lineup now that Yoenis Cespedes is back. The Mets would be crazy to sit him with any regularity, but they are the Mets.

Seth Lugo yielded four runs in 5 2/3 innings Friday in a win over the Giants.

Fortunately for him, Lugo didn't need to be at his best tonight, and he obviously wasn't in giving up seven hits and three walks to an awful Giants lineup that was minus Buster Posey. He has another somewhat advantageous matchup coming up against the Marlins, but he's still a risky play in NL-only leagues right now.

Ronald Torreyes hit a walk-off RBI single as the Yankees defeated the Rangers 2-1 in 10 innings on Friday.

It was a long night in the Bronx, as the game was delayed one hour and 42 minutes due to rain. The game-winning rally was set up after Gary Sanchez and Didi Gregorius hit back-to-back singles off Matt Bush with one out in the 10th. Bush struck out Chris Carter for the second out, but Torreyes ripped a single to center field which allowed Sanchez to score the winning run. The 24-year-old utility man is batting .293/.315/.366 through 45 games this season.

Yu Darvish had to settle for a no-decision after spinning seven scoreless frames against the Yankees on Friday.

It was the first major league matchup between Darvish and Masahiro Tanaka. And it lived up to the hype. Darvish didn’t go as deep into the game, as he was pulled after 88 pitches, but he gave up just two hits and walked none while striking out 10 batters. This was his third double-digit strikeout game of the season. He’s had a bit of a shaky month, but there’s still frontline potential here.

Masahiro Tanaka fired eight scoreless frames in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday.

Tanaka was on point, allowing just three hits while striking out nine and walking a pair. He threw first-pitch strikes to 26 out of the 27 batters he faced. It was his longest outing since his shutout against the Red Sox back on April 27. Fantasy owners will probably want to see back-to-back strong outings before trusting Tanaka again, but an effort like this one shows why folks should keep the faith.
