Carlos Rodon (biceps) will make his 2017 debut with the White Sox on Wednesday versus the Yankees.

It's the day he'd been speculated to pitch and the club has made it official. Rodon posted a 10.06 ERA and walked nine over 17 innings on his rehab assignment, although he did strike out 17 over 17 innings. Especially given the tough first matchup, fantasy owners should probably keep the southpaw benched for now.

Starlin Castro (wrist) is back in the Yankees' lineup MOnday.

Castro unavailable on Sunday after receiving a cortisone shot in his ailing right wrist, an injury that's bothered him for six weeks. He'll tape the wrist up and attempt to gut it out.

Adam Warren (shoulder) has been playing catch.

Warren's recovery from right shoulder inflammation has come slower than expected. He's hoping to return at some point during the Yankees' next homestand, which begins in a week.

Ehire Adrianza (abdomen) could begin a rehab assignment in the next few days.

Adrianza was placed on the disabled list last week with an abdominal strain, but he received encouraging news from tests. He's eligible to return on Sunday and it sounds like he could be ready then.
Jun 26 - 5:07 PM

Glen Perkins (shoulder, biceps) could resume throwing as soon as Tuesday.

Perkins received a cortisone shot after developing some biceps tendinitis. His timetable obviously remains up in the air.
Jun 26 - 5:05 PM

Phil Hughes (biceps) will be activated and used as a reliever later this week.

Hughes will make a final rehab appearance with Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday before being activated. He's still sitting in the 89-92 mph range out of the bullpen, which isn't what he or the Twins had hoped. Hughes, who is in the third year of a five-year, $58 million contract, figures to be used in long relief initially.

Jason Heyward took some light swings Monday, but the cut on his right hand still felt tender.

Heyward progressed to hitting off a tee Sunday, but it sounds like the Cubs are backing him off a little bit. He's eligible to return Thursday and it doesn't appear he'll be ready by then.
Jun 26 - 4:59 PM

Austin Jackson (quad) is getting an MRI on Monday.

He could need a stint on the disabled list, depending on what the scan shows. If a move is made with Jackson, it will come prior to Tuesday's game.
