Enes Kanter (arm) returned to action on Friday vs. the Lakers, but scored just four points on 2-of-12 shooting.

He missed a lot of easy looks and finished 2-of-10 in the paint, but some rust was to be expected. He played 19 minutes and grabbed seven rebounds with one assist and four turnovers, but it is a little concerning that the Thunder have another solid option in their frontcourt in Taj Gibson. It's going to take some time for Kanter to find his rhythm, but he could be more a late-round guy going forward.

Robert Covington torched the Wizards on Friday night, scoring 25 points with 11 rebounds, three assists, four steals and five 3-pointers.

He made 9-of-14 from the field as the 76ers offense was hitting on all cylinders. Covington has been on fire in the last 30 days, averaging 16.3 points, 7.6 boards, 1.8 assists, 2.9 steals and 2.7 treys on a respectable 43.7 percent from the field in those 12 games. Due to injuries and Ersan Ilyasova heading to the ATL, RoCo will be in his best position all season and is a must-start player.

Doug McDermott played just 19 minutes in his Thunder debut on Friday vs. the Lakers, scoring eight points on 3-of-8 shooting.

He missed both of his 3-pointers and added four rebounds and two turnovers. Maybe the Thunder were taking it easy on him in his first game, but it's worrying that he only played 19 minutes with Victor Oladipo (back) on the shelf. He's not worth a pickup in standard leagues for now.

Richaun Holmes owned the paint against the Wizards on Friday, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds, one assist, two steals and five blocks in 26 minutes.

The 76ers won't miss Nerlens Noel too much if Holmes keeps playing like this. He's outplayed Jahlil Okafor basically all season and at times he's been ahead of him on the depth chart too. He's always been capable per-minute, he has some shooting touch and he obviously can block shots. With Joel Embiid (knee) out for at least three more, Holmes could have some short term value in fantasy. It's not crazy to think he'll pass Okafor once Embiid is back either. If you need a big man in a 14-team league, Holmes is worth a long look to see how this plays out

Brandon Ingram scored 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting in 39 minutes vs. the Thunder on Friday, adding five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.

The arrival of Corey Brewer (four minutes) isn't a concern at all for the rookie. The Lakers had a chance to trade for DeMarcus Cousins, but the talks stalled because the Lakers wouldn't give up Ingram. His development is a priority the rest of the way, but his consistency is a big roadblock for his fantasy value -- he scored a combined 11 points in his last three games before the break. Hopefully the time off will help the rookie.

Jahlil Okafor scored 11 points with two rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes during a start against the Wizards on Friday.

Ever since Okafor talked trash two preseasons ago, he does not like to play against Marcin Gortat. He picked up three quick fouls to allow more run for Richaun Holmes, who continues to outplay him. Okafor should have some value while Joel Embiid (knee) is out, but he just isn't playing well this season.

Nick Young struggled on Friday vs. the Thunder, scoring three points on 1-of-9 shooting (a triple).

Eight of his shots were from beyond the arc and he added five rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes. The Lakers were willing to move Young for a second-round pick at the deadline, but obviously couldn't find a suitor. It's good news for Young that he wasn't moved, but keep in mind that the Lakers want D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson to close out more games going forward. Young is a hold if you're relying on his 3-pointers, but his floor is very low.
Feb 24 - 10:42 PM

Kenneth Faried (lower back spasms) will not return on Friday night.

He had an awkward landing in this game and tried to play through it, but he was ruled out about 40 minutes later in real time. This is not the same as the ankle injury that had him on the injury report today, but Faried did have back issues in January. If he needs to miss time, Darrell Arthur and Juancho Hernangomez should benefit.
