Raiders placed CB Tarell Brown on injured reserve with a foot injury, ending his season.
Brown had been the one constant of a surprisingly competent Raiders' secondary in 2014, logging 1000 snaps across 14 games. A free agent this offseason, Brown should be able to find a starting job for 2015. T.J. Carrie will slide into the starting lineup with Brown sidelined.
Cardinals LG Jonathan Cooper (wrist) has been ruled out of Week 16 against the Seahawks.
Cooper says the injury is "something between a break and a sprain." Ted Larsen will move from right guard to the left side, and Paul Fanaika will slot in at right guard.
Emmanuel Sanders missed Broncos' practice on Saturday with flu-like symptoms.
Sanders was reportedly feeling under the weather on Friday and will be given Saturday off to rest. The Denver Post's Troy Renck said there is "no reason to think he won't play." With Peyton Manning struggling, Sanders has seen his production tail off in the last two games. Under the weather and against a solid Bengals secondary, Sanders will be a risky WR2 for the fantasy championships.
Lamar Miller's yard per carry drops dramatically after his tenth carry of a game.
According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, Miller has averaged 5.4 yards per carry on his first 10 carries of a game this season, but is averaging only 2.5 yards per carry from his 11th carry on. The stunning drop-off in effectiveness could help explain why Miller is averaging 12.7 carries a game this season despite being clearly the best runner on Miami's roster. Miller's upside will always be capped by his limited touches, but he is still a solid RB2 in a good matchup against the Vikings this week.
With Eagles OLB Trent Cole sidelined by a hand injury, rookie Marcus Smith has moved back to outside linebacker at Eagles' practice.
The 2014 first-round pick moved to inside 'backer after a rash of injuries in the middle of the season, but he will finish his rookie campaign at his more natural outside position. Brandon Graham will slide into Cole's starting position while Smith has a chance to contribute as a rotational pass rusher. Smith has two quarterback hurries across 74 defensive snaps this season.
ESPN's Ed Werder reports expectations are DeMarco Murray (hand, questionable) will play Week 16 against the Colts.
This report jibes with the general feeling around Cowboys' camp this week. Murray is fully expected to be active and start against the Colts, though he may lose some pass-game work to Lance Dunbar. Murray is a must start if active, but with RT Doug Free (ankle, doubtful) and RG Zack Martin (ankle, questionable) likely out, he may find less running room than usual against Indianapolis.
Cowboys RT Doug Free (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 16.
Free has not practiced all week and is unlikely to play. Jeremy Parnell will make another start at right tackle.
Cowboys RG Zack Martin (ankle, questionable) was able to do some on-field rehab on Friday and believes he will be able to play Week 16 against the Colts.
Martin injured his ankle last week against the Eagles. Martin was able to finish the game, but he was limping badly in the locker room and has not practiced this week. Mackenzy Bernadeau would likely earn the start if Martin is unable to go. With RT Doug Free (ankle) unlikely to play, the Cowboys' running game could be less effective than normal against the Colts.
