Philip Rivers (back, chest) returned to Chargers practice Thursday.

Rivers took a rare rest day on Thursday, but will be ready to go for Saturday's game against the 49ers. Playing at well less than 100 percent without No. 1 receiver Keenan Allen, Rivers isn't a realistic QB1 for the fantasy finals.
Dec 18 - 1:45 PM

Ryan Mathews (ankle) remained sidelined Thursday.

Mathews "wasn't close" to playing in Week 15, and appears all but guaranteed to miss his second-straight game. The oft-injured 2010 first rounder could be heading into free agency having appeared in just 6-of-16 games this season. Branden Oliver and Donald Brown will form a low-upside committee against the 49ers.
Dec 18 - 1:43 PM

Percy Harvin returned to Jets practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.

Harvin will be fine for Week 16, but going up against one of the league's best secondaries with Geno Smith at quarterback, he's not a realistic WR3 for the fantasy finals.
Dec 18 - 1:42 PM

Peyton Manning (thigh) was given a day of rest on Thursday.

Twitter panic is already ensuing, but Manning's Week 16 status is in zero doubt. Today is the Broncos' first practice of the week since they're playing on Monday Night Football. Manning will be back for Friday's session, and can confidently be fired up as a QB1 for the fantasy finals.
Dec 18 - 1:34 PM

Browns LCB Joe Haden (shoulder) has yet to resume practicing.

Haden was riding a stationary bike at Thursday's session. That's a sign he's yet to be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. With the Browns fighting for a .500 record or better, they'd undoubtedly let Haden suit up even if he doesn't practice this week. His status will be updated in the next 48 hours.
Dec 18 - 1:30 PM

Andrew Hawkins missed Thursday's practice.

It's likely just a day of rest, or perhaps Hawkins is under the weather. He's going to be fine for Sunday's game against the Panthers, but won't be on the WR3 radar.
Dec 18 - 1:29 PM

A.J. Green was held out of Thursday's practice.

Per Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson, the "thinking is" that Green is under the weather. Whatever it is, we're not in any way concerned about his Week 16 status. Green's status will be updated later Thursday afternoon.
Dec 18 - 1:28 PM

Jermaine Gresham (toe) returned to practice Thursday.

Gresham sat out Week 15 and then visited a specialist. Apparently, everything checked out fine. Gresham is averaging 3.8 catches for 29.0 yards with three touchdowns in 13 games this season.
