CBS Pittsburgh's Colin Dunlap reports LeGarrette Blount and Le'Veon Bell were arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday.

Bell was also popped for DUI. The two Steelers were reportedly in possession of 20 grams of marijuana and accompanied by another female, who was in possession of two grams. Blount has a checkered past from his college days, but he's mostly kept his nose clean in the NFL. Both Bell and Blount will be subject to a suspension once the case is resolved. It may not affect them in 2014.

CBS Pittsburgh's Colin Dunlap reports Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday, while Bell was also booked for DUI.

Per Dunlap, Bell and Blount were in possession of 20 grams of pot and were accompanied by another female, who was in possession of two grams. All three were said to be "cooperative." While this obviously isn't good news, it may have no affect on Bell or Blount's status for the 2014 season. Bell had no real off-field concerns coming out of Michigan State. But Blount has a shaky track record. Both will be in line for potential suspensions once the case is resolved.

Free agent RB Brandon Jackson wants to play in the NFL this season.

Jackson, 29 in October, was out of the league last season after two injury-riddled years with the Browns. He has just eight carries for 54 yards since the end of the 2010 season, but was a versatile back for Green Bay early in his career. As much as Jackson may want back in the league, he's at or near the end of the line.

Coach Ron Rivera said CB Josh Norman is having an outstanding training camp.

Norman's had big summers since he was drafted, but he's never translated them to games. "This year he's had the kind of camp you get excited about," Rivera said. Having Norman finally flip the switch would be a boost to Carolina's defense. He's gifted at 6'0/195, but lets his emotions and stubbornness get the best of him at times. Norman is pushing Melvin White and Antoine Cason to start.

CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco reports the 49ers are "not interested" in trading holdout RG Alex Boone.

Per Maiocco, interested teams have inquired about Boone. The 49ers are holding firm. Either they're willing to cave in to Boone's demands soon, or they're simply willing to continue to not pay Boone as he sits at home. Boone doesn't count against the 90-man roster and won't for as long as he holds out. San Francisco will continue to trot out Joe Looney at right guard in the meantime.

Cardinals signed DL Ryan McBean.

McBean, 30, was a fourth-round pick of the Steelers in 2007. He last played in 2011 with the Broncos. McBean spent 2012 on I.R. with a broken ankle for the Ravens before being out of the league in 2013. He's a roster long shot.

Cardinals placed LE Darnell Dockett on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.

It was originally reported that Dockett tore both his ACL and MCL, but he only tore the ACL. Dockett will undergo surgery ASAP, as coach Bruce Arians wants his veteran presence on the sideline at games this season. The Cardinals have signed NT Isaac Sopoaga and DE Ryan McBean as defensive line insurance. Veteran Frostee Rucker and rookie Kareem Martin will fill the left end void.

Bengals signed WLB Vontaze Burfict to a new four-year, $20 million contract through 2017.

Burfict was entering the final year of his three-year rookie deal, but was under team control through 2015. He gets a total of $7.6 million this season and is now one of the richest 4-3 outside 'backers in the league at $5 million annually. An undrafted gem out of Arizona State in 2012, Burfict has become a three-down difference maker for the Bengals. He's above-average, and near elite, both against the run and in coverage. Burfict is a shoo-in LB1 in IDP formats.
