Matt Koch will make another start for the Diamondbacks, manager Torey Lovullo said Saturday.

Koch pitched well in his first start filling in for Taijuan Walker, allowing one earned run over six innings against the Padres, so the announcement doesn't come as a huge surprise. The start is likely to come Tuesday against the Dodgers, a tough test against the defending National League champs.

Scooter Gennett went 2-for-5 and drove in two runs in Saturday's loss to the Cardinals.

He came up with the bases loaded in the seventh inning and blooped a single to right field that plated two runners. He came to the plate with the bases loaded again in the ninth inning but this time he grounded into a game-ending double play. Gennett has a fine .288 batting average but has yet to homer after cranking 27 longballs a year ago.

Tony Barnette (shoulder) threw a 21-pitch bullpen session Saturday.

Afterwards, he reported feeling good during the session. Barnette has been out since April 15 with right shoulder inflammation, but considering he's already throwing, he's likely to be ready for activation at first opportunity or shortly thereafter.

Randall Delgado (oblique) has been pulled back from his rehab assignment and will be shut down for a week.

The news is a bit surprising on the heels of Delgado telling The Athletic's Zach Buchanan that he threw a bullpen session and felt "fine" earlier Saturday. No reason for the club on why he's been shut down. No timetable exists for his return, given this newest development.

Homer Bailey surrendered three runs in 5 2/3 innings and took a no-decision against the Cardinals on Saturday.

He teed up a two-run homer to Paul Dejong in the second inning and a solo shot to Dexter Fowler in the sixth to account for all the damage. He allowed seven hits, issued two walks and struck out four while coming up one out short of a quality start. Bailey seems much improved over last year's nightmare campaign. He is still looking for his first win and has three losses in five starts. If he can maintain his quality 3.68 ERA and 1.16 WHIP he is sure to snare a few wins despite the fact the Reds' under-powered offense isn't likely to provide him with much run support.

Randall Delgado (oblique) threw a bullpen session Saturday.

Afterwards, he declared his arm "fine," according to Zach Buchanan of The Athletic. Delgado has been on the disabled list since March 27 with the left oblique strain, and he missed all of camp with the injury. The club hasn't offered much in the way of a timetable, but if he's throwing well it stands to reason he's close.

Boone Logan (triceps) will throw a simulated game Tuesday.

Logan threw another bullpen session Saturday without incident, clearing the way for the next step in his recovery from a triceps injury suffered late in camp. If the sim game goes well, Logan will go out on a rehab assignment before rejoining the Brewers, likely in early May.

Orlando Arcia (ankle) says he feels better and could play Saturday if needed.

He wasn't needed, and Eric Sogard will start at shortstop for their game against the Marlins. The Brewers are off Monday, so if Arcia sits again Sunday, as Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Tom Haudricourt expects, the team could buy him a few days of rest before inserting him back in the lineup. Arcia rolled the ankle during Friday's game while trying to get back to first base after a single in the eighth inning.
