Daniel Norris (groin) left Sunday's rehab start at Triple-A Toledo with a trainer after throwing 32 pitches in the first inning.

The southpaw gave up two runs on two hits and two walks before being pulled. It's unclear at this point whether Norris aggravated his groin injury or perhaps is dealing with a new ailment, but the Tigers should update his status later Sunday.

Trea Turner will undergo an X-ray Tuesday to see how much his fractured right wrist has healed.

Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said Sunday that Turner's recovery is coming along nicely but the outfielder has yet to resume baseball activities. It's unclear whether he might be cleared for activities if Tuesday's exam shows sufficient healing. Turner has already missed nearly four weeks of action.

Mets shortstop prospect Amed Rosario has missed five straight games and was taken to the hospital Saturday in Memphis due to a stomach issue.

He'll miss at least a sixth straight game Sunday. It sounds like Rosario is probably dealing with food poisoning, so it shouldn't be too much longer before he's ready to play. Obviously, it doesn't help his chances of being promoted in the next few days.

Marlins president of baseball operations Michael Hill said Sunday that the club has no intention of trading Giancarlo Stanton, Justin Bour, Christian Yelich, J.T. Realmuto, Marcell Ozuna or Dan Straily before the deadline.

Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald writes that the club prefers "to leave those decisions to the team’s next owner." The Marlins have already dealt David Phelps and are likely to trade A.J. Ramos soon, but it appears a decision on whether they deal players under control for multiple seasons won't be made at least until the offseason. It makes sense not only to wait for ownership in place to make these calls, but also because over the winter there would figure to be more bidders involved.

Diamondbacks activated RHP Taijuan Walker from the paternity leave list.

Walker missed a start over the weekend in order to attend the birth of his child. He'll return to the rotation on Tuesday against the Braves.

Jarrod Dyson (toe) is not in the Mariners' lineup Sunday.

Dyson suffered a hyperextended toe when he collided with the outfield wall Saturday. He's expected to miss a day or two of action. Guillermo Heredia is in center field.

Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports that the Red Sox "have been watching" Zack Cozart recently.

Cozart would give the Red Sox another infield option, whether he plays third base or plays shortstop and Xander Bogaerts slides over to third. The impending free agent has batted a robust .317/.401/.565 with 11 homers for the Reds this season.

Justin Turner (illness) is back in the Dodgers' lineup Sunday.

Turner is dealing with bronchitis, but he's feeling well enough Sunday after missing Saturday's game. He's at third base and batting third versus Sean Newcomb and the Braves.
