Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Brewers are calling outfield prospect Lewis Brinson.

Brinson struggled in his first stay at the major league level earlier this season, slashing .097/.200/.161 with 13 strikeouts in 14 games, but the talented 23-year-old has been tearing it up at Triple-A and should see regular starts down the stretch with the in-contention Brewers. We'd expect much better results this time around.

Trevor Story said he felt tightness in his left calf during Tuesday's loss to the Cardinals.

Story didn't really show it, belting a game-tying solo homer in the top of the eighth inning and making a couple nice defensive plays at shortstop. He could get the day off Wednesday.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal confirms that Eduardo Nunez has been traded to the Red Sox.

Nunez was lifted in the fifth inning Tuesday night in San Francisco and the Giants' television broadcast showed him sharing hugs with his teammates in the dugout. Now we know where the 30-year-old third baseman is headed. Nunez was 1-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored in his final game with the Giants on Tuesday night against the Pirates. He's slashing .308/.334/.417 with four home runs and 18 stolen bases in 76 games this season.

Eduardo Nunez was spotted hugging his Giants teammates after leaving Tuesday's game against the Pirates in the bottom of the fifth inning.

It looks like Nunez has been traded, though there are no reports yet about where he is headed. USA Today's Bob Nightengale tweeted Monday night that the Red Sox "continue to scout" the 30-year-old third baseman. Stay tuned.

Edwin Encarnacion blasted a walkoff grand slam on Tuesday, propelling the Indians to an 11-7 victory over the visiting Angels.

Encarnacion victimized Angels' closer Bud Norris in the 11th inning. The stage was set after Bradley Zimmer and Francisco Lindor drew walks, then Michael Brantley was walked intentionally to load the bases. Encarnacion also doubled in the ballgame and walked twice, finishing the night 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored. He's now hitting .262/.377/.491 with 21 homers and 59 RBI.

Bradley Zimmer had a monster night at the plate on Tuesday, going 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI as the Indians topped the Angels.

Zimmer blasted a grand slam during a seven-run uprising in the second inning. He also singled twice, walked, scored three runs and swiped a pair of bases in the contest. For the season, the impressive rookie is hitting .277/.337/.436 with six homers, 33 RBI and 12 stolen bases.

Michael Brantley went deep as the Indians outlasted the Angels in extra innings on Tuesday.

Brantley capped off a seven-run rally in the second inning with a solo shot off of Jesse Chavez. He finished the night 1-for-5 plus a walk and scored a pair of runs. Brantley is enjoying a nice season at the dish, slashing .301/.367/.445 with seven homers and 46 RBI.
Jul 26 - 12:02 AM

Mike Clevinger struggled in Tuesday's no-decision against the Angels, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits across 4 1/3 innings.

Clevinger punched out five on the evening and walked two. He surrendered a pair of long balls in the game, including a three-run blast to Kole Calhoun in the fourth inning. Even with the rough outing, the right-hander will carry a 3.20 ERA and 1.21 WHIP into Monday's start against the Red Sox in Boston.
