Ryan Braun went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's Cactus League loss to the Indians.

Braun slammed an RBI double in the first inning and singled in a run in the fifth. After a slow start to spring, the outfielder is now hitting .323 with six RBI. More importantly, his thumb seems to be holding up thus far. When healthy, Braun is one of the premier hitters in the game.

Jason Kipnis hit a two-run home run, his first of spring, in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Brewers.

Kipnis has been sidelined by back spasms recently, but he's back and showed no signs of lingering issues Saturday. The second baseman hit a two-run shot off Brewers starter Wily Peralta in the third inning. He finished 1-for-3 in the game. Assuming he stays feeling alright, Kipnis should be just fine for Opening Day.

Tyson Ross struck out 12 hitters over six innings, allowing two runs, in a Cactus League win over the Rangers Saturday.

Ross had everything working, striking out 12 of the 24 batters he faced on the day. The right-hander gave up six hits and walked a batter on the afternoon. Ross has a 2.89 ERA this spring and should once again be one of the best starters in the National League in 2015.

Delino DeShields Jr. went 2-for-3 with a walk, stolen base and run scored in Saturday's game against the Padres.

DeShields doubled to lead off the game, scoring on a Prince Fielder single. Showing off his blazing speed, the outfielder also stole a base on a pitchout. He's hitting just .235 but has enough speed upside that the Rangers may keep him on their 25-man roster rather than returning him to the Astros.

Joc Pederson hit a two-run home run, his only success in three at-bats, facing the Angels on Saturday.

Pederson got the scoring started with a two-run home run in the second inning against Matt Shoemaker. That's five spring blats for the 22-year-old, who has just about wrapped up the competition for the starting center field job. He's currently holding a .373 average (19-for-51) with 11 RBI.

Clint Barmes went 2-for-3 with two RBI in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.

With the bases loaded in the seventh inning, Barmes smacked a two-run single to tie the game. The Padres' likely Opening Day shortstop is hitting .233 in Cactus League action, but he's in the lineup for his glove.
Mar 28 - 7:15 PM

Prince Fielder went 2-for-2 with an RBI in Saturday's loss to the Padres.

Fielder had an RBI single off Tyson Ross in the first inning, and he was one of the few Rangers hitters who didn't get victimized by Ross on the afternoon. Fielder has 11 hits in 34 at-bats (.324) this spring. He appears to be feeling fine after missing most of 2014 due to neck surgery.
Mar 28 - 7:14 PM

Brennan Boesch contributed a two-run double and a solo home run over four at-bats in Saturday's 9-5 victory over the Cubs.

Boesch, starting in center field, doubled in the Reds' second and third runs in their four-run first inning, then added a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to make it 9-5. Boesch has been superb for the Reds this spring, batting .383 (18-for-47) with four home runs and 13 RBI. He will very likely break camp with the Reds on the 25-man roster as part of the bench.
