Aaron Hill singled in two runs in the top of the 12th to lead the Diamondbacks to a 4-2 win over the Dodgers on Friday.

The Diamondbacks went ahead in the ninth when Chris Withrow threw a wild pitch on an attempted intentional walk of Martin Prado, allowing the go-ahead run to score from third. The good times were short-lived, though, as Juan Uribe homered off Addison Reed in the bottom of the ninth to tie it. That was all for the scoring until the 12th, when Hill delivered the big hit. It was his lone knock in six at-bats for the game.

Wade Miley surrendered one run in six-plus innings Friday in a no-decision against the Dodgers.

Miley threw 106 pitches through six innings, yet manager Kirk Gibson allowed him to hit with a man on and two outs in the top of the seventh and then sent him back to the mound, even with nothing but right-handers due up. His evening ended just two pitches into the seventh, when Scott Van Slyke took him deep to tie the game at 1. It was some atrocious managing after some very good pitching from Miley.

Addison Reed gave up a homer to Juan Uribe in the ninth to blow his first save of the year on Friday.

It was Reed's first blown save, but he's already allowed seven runs -- four earned -- in nine innings this year. The Diamondbacks have shown a stunning lack of patience with their starters thus far, so Reed better not have another misstep right away or he could put his job in jeopardy.
Apr 19 - 2:39 AM

Trevor Cahill pitched a perfect 12th inning for his first career save Friday against the Dodgers.

The Diamondbacks certainly didn't intend for Cahill's first relief appearance to be in a save situation, but they had little choice but to go to him in the 12th and he got the job done quickly, retiring Andre Ethier, Yasiel Puig and Justin Turner in order. Cahill still doesn't have any fantasy value at the moment.
