Joe Ross pitched well in Saturday's victory over the Cardinals, scattering six hits and two walks over six innings of one-run ball.

The right-hander punched out four on the afternoon. The only blemish on his day was a sacrifice fly by Matt Carpenter in the fifth inning. Ross has been simply outstanding in the early going, compiling a 3-0 record, 0.79 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 14/7 K/BB ratio over 22 2/3 innings. He'll look to extend his dominance when he does battle against the Cubs at Wrigley Field on Thursday.

Yadier Molina went 2-for-4 with a double as the Cardinals fell to the Nationals on Saturday afternoon.

Molina has had a resurgence at the plate in the first month of the 2016 season, slashing .341/.426/.451 with no homers and 10 RBI. He is once again looking like one of the top offensive performers at his position in the league.

Jaime Garcia was dealt his second loss of the season on Saturday, surrendering four runs on four hits over 6 1/3 innings against the Nationals.

Garcia racked up six strikeouts on the afternoon while walking three. All of the damage against him came in the very first inning, where Daniel Murphy delivered an RBI single and Jayson Werth followed with a three-run bomb. He settled in nicely afterwards and kept the Nats at bay the rest of the afternoon, but the damage had already been done. He'll carry a 3.73 ERA and 1.15 WHIP into Thursday's start against the Phillies.

Joey Rickard is not in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the White Sox.

He's sitting for the first time this season. Hyun-soo Kim will fill in at left field with Manny Machado taking over the leadoff spot. Rickard should return to the starting lineup on Sunday. He's been in a slump, collecting just five hits in his last 32 at-bats (.156).

He allowed a two-out single to Eduardo Escobar, but nothing further came from it. Rodriguez owns a troublesome 5.19 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 7/4 K/BB ratio through 8 2/3 innings on the year, but he has made good on six of his first seven save chances.

Hunter Harvey will see a specialist Monday in Philadelphia after feeling renewed groin discomfort.

Doctors will determine whether he needs sports hernia surgery. "The groin’s just not healing like it should," said manager Buck Showalter. "He’s had plenty of time" Hernia surgery usually requires a 4-6 week recovery. The top prospect missed all of last season while battling elbow issues.
