Braves RHP prospect Mike Soroka threw four hitless innings Saturday in a start for Rookie-level Danville.

The 17-year-old struck out six and retired the last eight batters he faced. He was taken out after reaching his pitch limit of 55. The No. 28 pick in this year's draft has posted a solid 1.29 ERA over five outings with 17 strikeouts and three walks. Soroka relies mostly on his fastball but can also mix in a slider and a changeup.

Erik Goeddel (elbow) began a minor league rehab assignment with High-A St. Luice on Sunday.

Goeddel has been on the shelf since June 12 with a strained right elbow. Prior to his injury, he had registered a 1.96 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 23/7 K/BB ratio over 23 innings with the Mets.

Pirates OF prospect Willy Garcia notched four hits including a homer and two doubles in Saturday's game for Triple-A Indianapolis.

It was Garcia's first four-hit game of the season. Garcia began the year on a torrid hot streak for Double-A Altoona but has slowed down a bit since coming to Triple-A (.248 AVG in 145 at-bats). The 22-year-old has followed up last year's 18-homer campaign with just eight blasts in 2015. Though talented, Garcia remains a work in progress.

Carter Capps was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Padres with right elbow stiffness.

The injury is believed to be minor, and the Marlins are listing the hard-throwing right-hander as day-to-day. He owns an outstanding 1.16 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 58/7 K/BB ratio in just 31 innings on the season.

Kris Bryant left Sunday's game against the Brewers with an apparent injury to his head/neck area.

Bryant injured himself on a head-first slide into second base. He was able to walk off the field under his own power and looked to be OK, so perhaps the Cubs were just being cautious here. They should offer more on the third baseman's status later Sunday.

Indians SS prospect Ronny Rodriguez launched a pair of solo home runs Saturday in a win for Double-A Akron.
