Rubby De La Rosa scattered two runs in 5 2/3 innings, but got a no-decision in Tuesday's 10-inning loss versus the Dodgers.

Both runs scored on a Yasmany Tomas home run in the second inning. De La Rosa allowed six hits and a walk overall while striking out seven. He's put together four terrific starts in a row now but still has a mediocre 4.60 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP and a 94/26 K/BB ratio in 101 2/3 innings. De La Rosa will look to keep it going when he faces the Rockies at home in his next start.

Carlos Frias allowed three runs in five innings, getting a no-decision as the Dodgers needed 10 innings to fend off the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Frias gave up seven hits and walked three while striking out only one batter. Nick Ahmed struck the big blow in the fourth inning with a two-run home run. Things could've gone a lot worse for Frias. The young right-hander now owns a 4.39 ERA with a 1.55 WHIP and a 40/24 K/BB ratio in 69 2/3 innings. He'll have a decent match-up his next time out as he'll face the Phillies at home.
Jul 1 - 1:56 AM

Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and a walk, but the Diamondbacks lost in 10 innings to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Goldschmidt kept hope alive, drilling a two run double in the bottom of the 10th inning against Kenley Jansen to make it a 6-4 game. The first baseman is on a 10-game hitting streak, batting a ridiculous .354/.469/.639 with 20 home runs, 65 RBI, and 15 stolen bases to date.
Jul 1 - 1:53 AM

Yasmani Grandal went 2-for-5 with a two-run double and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 10-inning win against the Diamondbacks.

Grandal opened the scoring with a two-run home run off of Rubby De La Rosa in the second inning. He added necessary insurance in the 10th inning with a two-run double to make it a 6-3 game. Grandal has homered in back-to-back games, giving him 12 on the season along with 31 RBI and a .269/.380/.497 triple-slash line.
Jul 1 - 1:52 AM

Howie Kendrick homered in the 10th inning on Tuesday as the Dodgers took down the Diamondbacks.

Kendrick finished 4-for-5 on the night, adding an RBI single in the seventh inning to go along with his solo home run in the 10th inning to break a 3-3 tie. He also had a four-hit game on Friday. The second baseman is on a six-game hitting streak, batting .298/.349/.429 with seven home runs and 34 RBI.
Jul 1 - 1:49 AM

LaTroy Hawkins enjoyed a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn his second save in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against the Athletics.

With John Axford back on the 7-day family medical emergency list, Hawkins was called upon to finish out Tuesday's game. He used 14 pitches to get a ground out, a pop-up, and a line out to end the contest. He hadn't saved a game since April 7. Hawkins may not see all of the save chances with Axford out, as Scott Oberg and Tommy Kahnle are candidates as well. Hawkins has a 5.27 ERA and a 14/3 K/BB ratio in 13 2/3 innings this season.
Jul 1 - 1:21 AM

Charlie Blackmon went 1-for-4 with an RBI, helping the Rockies eke out a win against the Athletics on Tuesday.

Blackmon singled in a run in the fifth inning against Chris Bassitt to break a scoreless tie. The outfielder is batting a productive .275/.348/.443 with 10 home runs, 34 RBI, and 21 stolen bases.
Jul 1 - 1:19 AM

Chris Bassitt, making a spot start, limited the Rockies to one run in five innings, but suffered a tough luck loss on Tuesday.

Sonny Gray was scratched due to an illness, so Bassitt was called up from Triple-A Nashville. The right-hander scattered five hits, walked none, and struck out three in the effort. As Gray will presumably be over his illness soon, Bassitt is likely headed back to Triple-A.
