Prince Amukamara (biceps) expects to be ready for the start of OTAs.

Amukamara missed the final eight games of 2014 with a torn biceps. He's scheduled to make $6.898 million in a contract year after the Giants exercised his fifth-year option and could be a candidate for an extension. Amukamara had 46 tackles, three interceptions, and 11 pass deflections despite playing just 464 snaps last season.

Jaguars hired Nathaniel Hackett as QBs coach.

Hackett was also in the running for the Rams offensive coordinator vacancy, but pulled out of his second interview. In Jacksonville, he'll settle for a position coach role after serving as Buffalo's OC the last two years. Hackett will be tasked with developing Blake Bortles, who is coming off a turnover-prone rookie season.

The Raiders have offered Todd Grantham a two-year deal to become their defensive coordinator.

Grantham is considered the favorite for Oakland's DC job. He should join Jack Del Rio's staff after coordinating in the college ranks the last four seasons. It's possible Grantham won''t have full control over play-calling under defensive-minded Del Rio. Grantham led Louisville to a top-six defense in 2014.

Redskins hired Matt Cavanaugh as QBs coach.

Washington is bringing in a quarterbacks coach after not having one during Jay Gruden's first season. Cavanaugh spent the last two years working with Jay Cutler while on Marc Trestman's staff, but has an extensive track record as both a position coach and coordinator. He's mostly worked with pocket passers throughout his career and isn't a great fit for Robert Griffin III. The Redskins had one of the worst passing attacks in the league last season, with Griffin, Kirk Cousins, and Colt McCoy combining for just 18 touchdowns.

Ravens FS Will Hill has a warrant out for his arrest in New Jersey for failure to pay his child support.

It's not the worst crime in the world as long as Hill pays the $16,588 he owes, but any trouble is bad trouble for Hill, who has been battling off-field issues since entering the league. Hill needs to keep his nose clean. He's long on talent but has proven to be short on common sense. The Ravens are aware of the issue.

49ers hired Steve Logan as QBs coach.

The 49ers continue to hire position coaches under a defensive-minded head coach, but remain without an offensive coordinator. Logan was most recently the Bucs' RBs coach from 2009-2011. Prior to that he was the OC at Boston College where he coached Matt Ryan. With Logan coming in as QBs coach, some believe in-house QBs coach Geep Chryst will be promoted to offensive coordinator.

Eagles WRs coach Bob Bicknell reportedly isn't interested in the 49ers' offensive-coordinator job.

Yikes. The 49ers are having a tough time luring someone in to call plays for Colin Kaepernick and Co. Alabama OC Lane Kiffin chose to remain in Tuscaloosa, Colts special assistant Rob Chudzinski accepted a promotion in Indianapolis, and ex-OC Greg Roman joined Rex Ryan in Buffalo. It's unclear where the 49ers will go from here. QBs coach Geep Chryst is a candidate for a promotion.

New Bills OC Greg Roman said he'll give E.J. Manuel "a very clean slate" as they head into the offseason.

"I definitely think he's done some very good things and displayed some good traits. I'd say we just have to get his level of consistency a little bit greater," Roman said. "What [he] might've been asked to do or done in the past is really not relevant to what we may or may not ask him to do." Those are the most glowing words we've heard on Manuel from the Bills since the season ended. Manuel isn't going to be handed anything. Top beat writer Joe Buscaglia expects the Bills to address quarterback in free agency and the draft.
