Randal Grichuk will bat second Monday against the Reds.

This comes after he slugged a long home run out of the cleanup spot in his return to the majors on Sunday. Grichuk should see semi-regular playing time with Dexter Fowler sidelined. While he's a batting average risk, the power makes him worth a look in mixed leagues again.

Matt Carpenter is not in Monday's lineup against the Reds.

He'll get a routine day of rest. Recent call-up Luke Voit will get his first major league start at first base. He's batting sixth against Brandon Finnegan. Tommy Pham will bat leadoff.
Jun 26 - 1:13 PM

Braves prospect Ronald Acuna homered and stole a base on Sunday for Double-A Mississippi.

The homer is Acuna's eighth of the season, and the stolen base gives him 30 in 2017. He's no longer putting up numbers that would look unrealistic in a video game, but he's still a 19-year-old in Double-A with an .856 OPS. There aren't many prospects in baseball who have his kinda of potential.

White Sox recalled RHP Juan Minaya from Triple-A Charlotte.

This will be his second stint in the majors this season. Minaya will try to do better than the 8.10 ERA he had over his previous seven appearances.
Jun 26 - 1:07 PM

Dodgers prospect Walker Buehler gave up two runs in five innings of work on Sunday for Double-A Oklahoma City.

Buehler allowed just two hits in the game and one walk, and he struck out 10. He's had no issue missing bats since being promoted to the Texas League, and now has 44 strikeouts in just over 35 innings. It's unlikely we see him in a Dodger uniform as a starter, but with Los Angeles likely headed to the playoffs in 2017, it might make sense to see his impressive stuff come out of the bullpen to end the year.
Jun 26 - 1:07 PM

White Sox optioned RHP Gregory Infante to Triple-A Charlotte.

Juan Minaya will replace him in Chicago's bullpen. Infante owns a 4.79 ERA and 18/10 K/BB ratio over 20 2/3 innings this season.
Jun 26 - 1:05 PM

Rays prospect Willy Adames went 3-for-5 on Sunday for Triple-A Durham.

One of the hits was a double, and Adames also scored a run. He's crushed the ball in June, and he's not hitting .395/.490/.605 for the month. The Rays are absolutely in contention and may not want to call up Adames until they're sure he's ready to play everyday. He sure looks like he's ready to play everyday.
Jun 26 - 1:02 PM

Billy Hamilton is not in Monday's lineup against the Cardinals.

He's presumably getting a day of rest. Patrick Kivlehan will handle center field duties and bat eighth. Jose Peraza is hitting leadoff.
