Jhoulys Chacin allowed two runs on six hits over five innings in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.

It was a typical Chacin start -- bend but don't break, and hope it's good enough. It was Thursday, as the Braves actually provided him with some run support. He's been decent through four starts, compiling a 3.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 23/4 K/BB ratio over 22 innings. He'll try to keep it going Tuesday at the Mets.

Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, five RBI and three runs scored as the Orioles trounced the White Sox 10-2 on Thursday.

Machado jumped on a slider from reliever Jake Petricka in the sixth inning to turn a relatively close game into a blowout. The homer was his seventh of the season, tying him for second-most in the American League (including with his teammate Chris Davis). The 23-year-old has 16 RBI and 19 runs scored to go with a .333/.389/.678 line through 21 games.

Todd Frazier hit a two-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Orioles.

The homer, his sixth of the season, was also his only hit in four at-bats. His six home runs have buoyed what has otherwise been a fairly pedestrian start to his White Sox career. Frazier is batting .236/.296/.472 with 15 RBI and 11 runs scored on the year.

Adam Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in Thursday's win over the White Sox.

It was just his third double of the season, and the first run batted in for Jones since April 16. As evidenced by those numbers, it's been a rough go for the 30-year-old out of the gate, as he's hitting just .217/.277/.317 overall. His offense trended down in 2015, but he should still be better than this going forward.
Apr 28 - 10:49 PM

Chris Davis went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's win over the White Sox.

It's shaping up as another typical season for Davis -- not a ton of contact, but when there's contact, he hits it a ton. He's now got seven homers and 15 RBI, hitting .221/.348/.506. He ranks among the league leaders in home runs, runs (19) and walks (15) through 21 games.
Apr 28 - 10:40 PM

John Danks continued to struggle in a loss to the Orioles on Thursday, allowing nine hits and six runs over five innings.

Chris Davis and Mark Trumbo went deep off the lefty, who also walked two while striking out four. Danks is now responsible for four of the White Sox' seven losses this season. After Thursday, Danks owns a 7.25 ERA and 1.75 WHIP, and he's struck out 16 while walking 11 in 22 1/3 innings to date. He'll look to get in the win column Wednesday against the Red Sox.
Apr 28 - 10:40 PM

Tyler Wilson pitched well but failed to make it through five innings Thursday, allowing two runs over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Trying to protect a three-run lead, Wilson got two quick outs in the top of the fifth before a hit batsmen and a single brought up Jose Abreu as the tying run. He finished with four hits and a walk allowed, striking out three before exiting. The start was his second since joining the rotation, and the 26-year-old owns a 3.06 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 17 2/3 innings. The Yankees are up next for Wilson, as the two will face off on Wednesday.
Apr 28 - 10:39 PM

Cameron Rupp delivered a go-ahead two-run double in the ninth inning as part of a 3-0 win over the Nationals.

The bases-loaded hit broke a scoreless tie. It was a catchable ball, but Bryce Harper took a strange route. Fortunately for the Phillies, it dropped in and bounced around the warning track. Rupp has now hit safely in seven straight games and owns a .280/.294/.480 batting line overall.
