Buddy Hield ended up with eight points, five rebounds and a steal over 27 minutes in Monday's 102-88 loss against the Timberwolves.

Hield had an OK stat line, but he did misfire on five of his eight field-goal attempts while turning it over four times. He is going to log plenty of playing time down the stretch for the Kings, as they find out exactly what they have with their young shooting guard while building for the future. Hield doesn't contribute a lot outside of scoring for fantasy owners, so his value is somewhat limited.

Ty Lawson was back in the starting lineup Monday against the Timberwolves and he finished with 11 points and nine assists over 35 minutes.

Lawson supplanted Tyreke Evans in the starting five in what is an ever-changing lineup situation in Sacramento since the departure of DeMarcus Cousins. Head coach Dave Joerger continues to mix and match, looking for the right combination. This was Lawson's most productive outing in three games since returning from a groin injury. Despite the near double-double, his fantasy value remains limited to deeper formats, especially once Arron Afflalo (hamstring) is healthy enough to play.

Tyreke Evans was back to the bench for Monday's game against the Timberwolves but he still managed 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, a blocked shot and a steal in 25 minutes.

The Kings starting five is an ever-changing thing, so Evans is likely to be in and out of the lineup. He was still very productive, including 3-of-3 from behind the arc. The veteran remains a solid fantasy option whether or not he is starting, as he'll log plenty of minutes in Sacramento. He is averaging 13.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in his first three games back with the team.

Eric Gordon scored nine points on 3-of-11 shooting with two assists, one rebound and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes vs. Indiana on Monday.

It looks like Gordon is the biggest loser from the Lou Williams trade. Williams is a usage rate monster in the fourth quarter and is averaging 24.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 4.7 3-pointers in his first three games as a Rocket, and a lot of his shot attempts will come at the expense of Gordon. He's still worth holding onto, but his floor is noticeably lower going forward.
Feb 28 - 1:19 AM

Kosta Koufos went for 14 points and 11 rebounds in Monday's 102-88 loss against the Timberwolves.

It was the first double-double for Koufos since Dec. 16, and first one in front of the home fans all season. In other words, don't expect it to become a frequent occurrence. He'll give you a handful of points, a few rebounds and an occasional blocked shot. Expectations of anything more will leave you disappointed.

James Harden double-doubled again on Monday vs. Indiana, scoring 24 points with 12 assists.

Harden shot 5-of-17 from the field and his only make from beyond the arc bounced in off the glass (in nine attempts). He hit 14-of-17 free throws with seven rebounds and two steals, but the fact that is considered an off night goes to show how amazing he's been this season. Expect a monster game on Wednesday vs. the Clippers in what should be a shootout.
Feb 28 - 1:15 AM

Shabazz Muhammad scored 10 points in 15 minutes off the bench in Monday's 102-88 win against the Kings.

Muhammad has scored 10 or more points in nine of his 12 games in the month of February, averaging 11.8 points per game. The forward's average for points in the best of any month so far this season. His playing time has actually tailed off slightly as the month has gone on, but he remains fairly productive. Muhammad is a very nice depth player in leagues of 12 or more teams.
Feb 28 - 1:14 AM

Trevor Ariza scored just six points on 2-of-10 shooting vs. the Pacers on Monday.

He's been in a brutal all slump all month, shooting just 31.1 percent from the field in February. He's still getting a lot of playing time and logged 36 minutes tonight, adding five rebounds and one assist. Ariza has the ceiling of a top-25 player, but his floor is low when he's not hitting 3-pointers -- he missed all seven of his triples tonight. He's absolutely worth holding in standard leagues and did have a nice game on Saturday with 15 points, three assists, three rebounds, one steal and three triples.
