49ers LT Joe Staley (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 14 against the Jets.

This takes a bit of air out of Colin Kaepernick's bounce-back balloon, and is a concern for Carlos Hyde as well. While Staley has struggled at times in pass protection this year, he has remained one of the NFL's premier run-blocking left tackles. Staley has started in 92 straight games for the Niners.

Updating a previous report, Chris Boswell (abdomen, questionable) is likely to be a game-time decision against the Bills in Week 14.

Mark Kaboly of DK Pittsburgh Sports reported earlier that Boswell was expected to play, but ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said the Steelers won't know his status until he goes through pregame warmups. For what it's worth, Boswell returned to a full practice on Friday following absences on Wednesday and Thursday. Randy Bullock filled in for Boswell last week against the Giants.

ESPN's David Newton reports Luke Kuechly (concussion) is expected to return in Week 14 against the Chargers.

Per Newton, Kuechly will return to the starting lineup "barring a last-second setback." Kuechly returned to a limited practice on Wednesday and was upgraded to full on Friday. Fill-in A.J. Klein will head back to the bench upon Kuechly's return.

Eddie Royal (toe) is doubtful for Week 14 against the Lions.

Royal didn't practice this week and is likely headed for his third straight absence. Cameron Meredith and Josh Bellamy will be Chicago's top receiving weapons in Week 14.

D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tweeted Friday that he is not anticipating Julio Jones (toe, questionable) will play in Week 14 against the Rams.

This is just a beat writer guess, but reinforces that Julio is no lock to be active against the Rams after he did little to nothing during the practice week. Officially, Jones was listed as "DNP" all three days. Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that he "anticipates" Julio playing, but that may be mere coachspeak. If Julio is indeed active, he will be a boom-bust WR1. It's a very tough situation in the fantasy playoffs because Falcons-Rams doesn't kick off until 4:25 PM ET.

Vikings C Joe Berger remains in the concussion protocol.

Previous reports suggested Berger was cleared of his concussion earlier this week, but obviously that wasn't the case. He sat out Friday's practice and is looking doubtful for Sunday's game at Jacksonville. Nick Easton will likely draw another start at center.
Dec 9 - 1:50 PM

Chris Boswell (abdomen, questionable) is expected to return against the Bills in Week 14.

Boswell sat out last week's game with an abdomen injury but should be ready to roll Sunday at Buffalo. Randy Bullock made three field goals and an extra point in his absence last week.

Lions released TE Brandon Pettigrew.

Pettigrew is believed to be healthy, but the Lions had washed their hands of him. He's now available to the highest bidder. A productive receiving tight end at Oklahoma State, Pettigrew was the 20th overall pick in the 2009 draft. He never developed into anything more than a blocking tight end in six years with Detroit.
