Maicer Izturis - 2B - Blue Jays

Maicer Izturis went 1-for-4 with a single in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.

Izturis isn't walking or making contact this season, and you already know his swing is punchless. Toronto was hoping for more than a .218/.242/.331 slash line when they signed Izturis from the Angels over the winter to a three-year, $9 million deal and the Jays recently sat him in three of four games.

Tommy Hunter - R - Orioles

Tommy Hunter hurled 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Jair Jurrjens to record his first hold of 2013 in Baltimore's 10-6 loss Saturday.

Hunter finished with a 5.45 ERA in 2012 and a 4.68 ERA in 2011, mostly as a starter. He's a better bullpen fit, where he's posted a 1.54 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 18/4 K/BB rate to go with a 3-1 record and a save over 23 1/3 innings. If Hunter keeps it up, Baltimore is likely to increase his usage to higher-leverage situations.

Luke Scott - DH - Rays

Luke Scott finished 0-for-3 with a pair of walks and an RBI during Saturday's 10-6 victory over the O's.

Scott missed most of April with a strained calf, but he's swiftly made up for lost time, batting .302/.439/.465 in 16 games. He's seeing the ball well, walking nine times in his last eight games. The 34-year-old is likely available in your mixed league and deserves consideration if you're in need of a bench bat.

Donald Lutz - OF - Reds

Donald Lutz logged his first career multi-hit game in Saturday's 10-0 demolition of the Phillies.

Lutz went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. He's batting .290 with a .419 slugging percentage through 31 at-bats, but Lutz has yet to take a walk. Lutz had 20-plus home runs in two straight minor league seasons and has displayed NL-only upside when given an opportunity, knocking in six runs, jacking a home run and stealing a pair of bases. He'll likely have to wait until 2014, at least, to become fantasy relevant.

Oliver Perez - R - Mariners

Oliver Perez took the loss in Saturday's game against the Indians after he allowed a run on two hits and a walk without recording an out.

Perez had been lights out prior to last night and this is the first update we've done on him in 2013. Such is life as a middle reliever. Those of us that snickered when Seattle signed Ollie in 2012 -- each and every one of us, in other words -- have been silenced. The formerly maligned left-hander from Mexico put up a 2.12 ERA in 2012 and currently sits at 1.62 in 2013. After years spent as an overpaid source of angst for Mets fans, Perez has proved a great bargain in the Northwest.

Craig Breslow - R - Red Sox

Craig Breslow picked up his first win of the season by tossing 1 2/3 scoreless relief innings against the Twins Saturday.

Breslow missed the first five weeks of the season with shoulder inflammation and has posted a 1.35 ERA over seven appearances since his activation. The 32-year-old Yale graduate has never finished a season with an ERA higher than 3.75 and boasts a 2.97 career number. Nerds don't often fool scouts, but Breslow has made it look easy.

Ryan Pressly - R - Twins

Ryan Pressly allowed a run over two mop-up innings in Saturday's 12-5 loss against the Red Sox.

The Twins plucked Pressly from the Red Sox with the fourth pick in last winter's Rule 5 Draft. He posted a 5.38 ERA in 103 2/3 innings last season between High- and Double-A, but has been a pleasant low-leverage surprise for the Twins thus far, logging a 1.83 ERA and 1.42 WHIP over 19 2/3 innings. His peripherals aren't good -- including a 13/10 K/BB rate -- and his ERA won't end anywhere close to where it is now, but owners in extremely deep AL-only leagues may want to take a look if they need an injury replacement in the 'pen.

Chris Getz - 2B - Royals

Chris Getz hasn't collected a hit since May 4.

He hasn't played since May 13 and owns an ugly .170 OPS in 18 plate appearances this month. Getz has never been much of a hitter, but his .193/.221/.301 slash line in 2013 resets the bar to a new low. Kansas City is making due with Elliot Johnson and Miguel Tejada at second, which tells you all you need to know about their opinion of Getz. With additional help on the way from the farm, Getz may have just squandered his last opportunity to seize a starting major league gig.
