Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Sunday that Seung Hwan Oh would have been his closer had there been a save opportunity Saturday.

Ryan Tepera received the Jays' last save chance and Tyler Clippard was called upon the few times before that. Gibbons apparently now wants to give Oh a turn and John Axford could be in the mix, as well. Someone could separate themselves from the pack, but this situation looks like a headache for fantasy owners right now. Oh has pitched well this year with a 2.35 ERA and 24/6 K/BB ratio over 23 innings. He's worth a shot in fantasy leagues if you're desperate for saves.

Todd Frazier (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas in the next few days.

Frazier has been upping his workouts lately and not had any setbacks with his strained left hamstring. It's unclear how many rehab games he will require before being activated, but he's getting close to a return as long as he keeps trending in the right direction.

Kevin Plawecki (hand), Hansel Robles (hand) and Gerson Bautista will join the Mets on Monday in Atlanta.

None of them are givens to be added to the roster, as the Mets still have some balls up in the air. Plawecki has been sidelined since mid-April with a hairline fracture in his right hand.

Mets recalled LHP P.J. Conlon from Triple-A Las Vegas.

They needed some length in the bullpen after their relievers were taxed Saturday. Conlon gave up three runs over 3 2/3 innings in a spot start earlier this month in his major league debut.

Mets optioned RHP Chris Flexen to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Flexen was roughed up for seven runs -- three earned -- over a two-inning relief appearance Saturday. P.J. Conlon will replace him in the bullpen.

A.J. Ramos has flown back to New York to undergo an MRI on his right shoulder.

Ramos felt tightness during an appearance Saturday and has really struggled of late. It sounds like there's a good possibility he'll be placed on the disabled list, but we'll have to wait and see what he MRI says.

Mike Soroka (shoulder) is on track to begin a rehab assignment later this week.

Soroka was placed on the disabled list a couple weeks ago after feeling tightness in the back of his shoulder during a start, but an MRI came back negative and he will throw another bullpen session Sunday or Monday. It's unclear how many rehab starts he'll require, but the young righty should go back into the Braves' rotation once he's ready.
May 27 - 11:57 AM

Jordan Montgomery (elbow) played catch Saturday.

Montgomery made 50-60 throws and had no issues with his ailing pitching arm. He's expected to be sidelined into July with a flexor strain.
