Dolphins coach Adam Gase said suspended SLB Lawrence Timmons is "taking the steps to make it back."

The Dolphins haven't provided much on Timmons since he went AWOL before Week 2. He can be suspended for up to four games under the CBA, but there's a good chance he'll return before that. Despite rumblings the Dolphins could move on from Timmons, his contract and Miami's lack of linebackers strongly suggests he'll be back with the team.

Seahawks CB Deshawn Shead (reserve/PUP, knee) could return in Week 7.

Coach Pete Carroll says Shead is "progressing well" in his recovery. Shead is out for at least the next four games, but has a chance to be activated when first eligible. With Jeremy Lane struggling, Shead should regain his starting role when healthy.

Rams coach Sean McVay said DB Lamarcus Joyner (hamstring) is day to day.

Joyner didn't return after going down in Thursday's win. It sounds like he's only dealing with a Grade-1 strain. Joyner has 10 days to get cleared for Week 4.

Eagles FS Rodney McLeod (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 3.

This is an injury worth tracking with Corey Graham and Jaylen Watkins sidelined. McLeod looks like a game-time decision after getting in a limited practice Friday. The Eagles are depleted in the secondary, leaving special teamer Chris Maragos the only other healthy safety on the roster.

Torrey Smith (illness) is questionable for Week 3 against the Giants.

Smith is a late addition to the injury report. He's been dealing with flu-like symptoms, but is expected to play. Smith is likely to take a step back from last week's eight targets.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 3.

This was expected after Williams missed practice all week. Nick Boyle will see a bigger role behind Ben Watson.
Sep 22 - 6:41 PM

Ravens WR Michael Campanaro (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 3 against Jacksonville.

Campanaro was held without a catch playing through a questionable tag last week. There was speculation he could replace Danny Woodhead's role in the short pass game, but Campanaro should remain limited to low snap totals in four-wide sets.

Free agent Lamarr Houston worked out for the Patriots.

Houston has been making the rounds after visiting the Saints this week. Released from Chicago with an injury settlement in early September, Houston should be close to fully recovered from his knee issues. The Patriots have a 4-3 based scheme, but may view Houston as a fit in the old Rob Ninkovich role.
