Rubby De La Rosa (intercoastal) has resumed a throwing program.

De La Rosa was scratched from his stat Tuesday with an intercoastal strain and is expected to make a quick return to the Triple-A Pawtucket rotation. The 23-year-old right-hander has a 3.65 ERA and 29/14 K/BB ratio over eight starts (25 innings) this season.

Miguel Sano leads all Florida State League third baseman in total chances, putouts and assists and ranks third in range factor.

There's been some concern over whether Sano can stay at third base in the long-term, but he's made enough progress that he won't be moving anytime soon. Through his first 44 games this season, Sano is batting .348/.442/.689 with 13 home runs and 37 RBI at the Twins' High-A affiliate.

Jordan Walden (shoulder) threw a bullpen session at Citi Field on Friday.

If Walden can avoid setbacks, he should be cleared for a rehab assignment and rejoin the Braves at some point next week. With Eric O'Flaherty out for the season, Walden is likely to return in a setup role with Luis Avilan.

A.J. Ellis doesn't expect to miss any time after he was involved in a home-plate collision with Jon Jay in the second inning of Friday's loss to the Cardinals.

Ellis remained in the game and says he isn't dealing any concussion-related symptoms. He plans to be in the lineup Saturday.
May 25 - 11:46 AM

Matt Wieters is not in Saturday's lineup against the Blue Jays.

Wieters played all nine innings in Friday's win, so the Orioles will rest him in a day game following a night outing. He's batting just .192 (3-for-25) with one home run in his last seven games.
May 25 - 11:10 AM

Jason Kipnis is not in the Indians' lineup Saturday.

The Indians' are resting both Kipnis and Michael Bourn. Kipnis went 0-2 with two walks in Friday's loss to the Red Sox.
May 25 - 10:58 AM

Michael Bourn is not in Saturday's lineup against the Red Sox.

No word yet on the reason for his absence, but the Indians' are likely just giving him a scheduled day of rest. Bourn spent three weeks on the DL earlier this month with a finger injury.
