According to the Cardinals' official site, Michael Floyd was "clearly gimpy" on his ailing ankle during Sunday's win over the Rams.
Lovie Smith is expected to be the first candidate interviewed for the Texans head coaching vacancy.
The Texans are looking for someone with head-coaching experience as they seek Gary Kubiak's replacement. Their current shortlist includes Smith, Stanford coach David Shaw and Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt. Per the Houston Chronicle, the Texans will not try to hire ESPN's Jon Gruden or soon-to-be-fired Redskins coach Mike Shanahan. Houston could also show interest in Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, who is a Purdue product just like GM Rick Smith.
Justin Hunter played on 38-of-50 snaps (76.0 percent) in Sunday's loss at Denver.
Interestingly, Nate Washington played 39 snaps and Kendall Wright got 38. So there was no clear-cut options in two-wide sets as all three rotated in evenly. Still, relying on a raw rookie in a Ryan Fitzpatrick offense is a recipe fantasy owners will want to avoid. Patrick Peterson and the Cardinals loom in Week 15.
A Monday MRI confirmed a torn right ACL and MCL for Rob Gronkowski.
The championship aspirations of both the Patriots and fantasy owners are torpedoed by one legal yet low hit from Browns S T.J. Ward. Look for the Patriots to utilize more three- and four-receiver sets the rest of the way, highlighting Julian Edelman, Shane Vereen and Danny Amendola. As for Gronk, the serious injuries continue to mount for the 24-year-old All-Pro. Since signing a $55 million contract in June of 2012, he's had four arm surgeries, another back surgery and now this devastating knee injury. Gronkowski's availability for the start of the 2014 season is in serious jeopardy.
Colts placed RB/KR Chris Rainey on injured reserve, ending his season.
Rainey sustained an undisclosed injury during Sunday's Week 14 loss at Cincy. During three weeks with the Colts, the speedster returned four punts for 29 yards and six kickoffs for 131 yards. Rainey did not see a single touch from scrimmage.
Colts signed RB Tashard Choice.
Choice takes the roster spot of Chris Rainey, who was placed on injured reserve Monday. The former Bill who was waived last week will slide in as the No. 3 back behind Donald Brown and Trent Richardson.
Raiders TE Nick Kasa sustained a concussion in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Jets.
Kasa, a sixth-round rookie, has been buried on the depth chart this season. He's still seeking his first career NFL catch while playing behind the likes of Mychal Rivera and Jeron Mastrud.
Stevan Ridley played on 17-of-82 snaps in Sunday's win over the Browns.
Making his return from Bill Belichick's doghouse, Ridley shared the "big back" role with LeGarrette Blount (21 snaps). They each got eight carries. Ridley's role should grow if he can string together games without fumbles, but he's not going to completely eliminate Blount from the picture anytime soon. We can't confidently project more than 8-12 carries for either one in the Week 15 game against the Dolphins.
